The rich made a space station that lies on the earth's orbit called Elysium for the world's biggest pussies.
ОтветитьI will die if I have to live a life like this
ОтветитьIt's really an urban space station. That's what The Saudi Arabian "The Line" project reminds me of.
ОтветитьMax and julio are such a superhero to the whole show Team Julio and max

Thanks. Now I don't have to watch it. 👍
Ответитьthe rich forgot when everybodys rich no one is
Ответитьthe whole movie is a metaphor for Jesus
ОтветитьIt was such a dumb nonsensical movie.
ОтветитьPretty sure Eminem was meant to be the lead. But he turned it down because they wouldn’t film in detroit
ОтветитьAnd since there was still overpopulation and poverty going on on earth, civil war broke out and many more people died than would have anyway
ОтветитьThere's an adventure game called Deponia which weirdly has the exact same plot as this movie.
ОтветитьSeeing your face ruins it
Ответитьthis guy has the most ai ass voice ever, and i love it
ОтветитьWhat is the background theme in the intro? Please.
Ответитьlike today, a cure is still behind a paywall. damn.
ОтветитьThis is what Elon musk bob iger David zaslav and all off those powerful people wants to do in the future let's not allow this to happen
ОтветитьDam bro he didnt deserve death
Ответитьat least now we know where the clowns in dubai got the idea for the Line Wall city thing...
ОтветитьHalo
ОтветитьPatel is the evil villain in both Film and real life. never trust a Patel.
ОтветитьIt's not possible to "pollute a planet beyond rehabilitation". It's a rock. If it's a toxic rock, you can still get rid of the toxins, and terraform it to a habitable state. There's no toxin that even can possibly exist that doesn't break down under certain conditions or over time. Period. That's just not how chemistry ever works. Everything degrades, including toxins and pollution.
Also, planets suck anyway. Gravity well, hard-to-access resources, uncontrollable climate, generally trapped at a single location.
With giant artificial worlds like Elysium (but on an even bigger scale), none of those issues exist. And planets are not at all required to support such stations. Organic compounds, water, minerals...all of them are present in extreme abundance on asteroids, comets, and the smaller and more easily managed moons of other planets. And the stations are just better to live on anyway, and can be moved to other locations as needed.
The issue is energy, and society. It'll require at a minimum some pretty advanced nuclear fission to power such stations, and probably space-borne solar power as well. Fusion would be better. In either case, energy is the primary bottleneck of such a civilization. Solar is abundant, but our panels can only harvest so much of that power before the sun just outright melts them. We'd have to improve them by orders of magnitude.
As for society, we'd have to organize our economic models to recognize that ownership and capitalism are self-destructive conditions. All resources and means of production/services should be measured and organized as universal shares, and always divided evenly among all. Anything else, will inevitably produce what we find in this movie. There's plenty for everyone. There's plenty for ten times as many people, comfortably. The problem is management and distribution of it all...and that problem is entirely manufactured by those who refuse to share. Nothing more.
This stupid movie is the reason why millions of people across the world believe medbays are real.
ОтветитьThis reminds me of how Workers Compensation treats workers..You get hurt today, they want you back to work tomorrow…
ОтветитьSo pretty much Elysium is America and Earth is Mexico?
ОтветитьTram khong gian uss nhu hinh cai dia nuoc phung ra roi hut lai giua roi lai phung ra .,

The healing pod concept is awesome

ОтветитьIt's so sad to see Pablo Escobar living in this dystopian world
Ответитьcould've been a good movie, but wasn't?
ОтветитьSome evil and diabolical clapboard decided to put unrelated movies into the video chesseboard
Ответитьlol they really ripped off halo
ОтветитьIs this an allegory for emigration.
ОтветитьI love this video
Ответитьso they had the facilities to heal everyone but decided to be wicked, feels like this movie is not far from the reality of our world today. PEOPLE LAVISHED IN GREED acquiring wealth to the detriment of others then they turn around and say HELL should not exist.
Ответитьcame here because of the short
ОтветитьThis movie is nonsense. Why withdraw treatments for everyone when we have the capacity to do so as shown in the last scene. Oh wait.. this situation seems familiar to reality..
ОтветитьJodie is so cuteee Foster
ОтветитьI get the rich have created a paradise themselves and dont want to share with the rest.
What I dont get is why dont they share the med bay tech with the earth, just share the tech or plop down 1000s of them and this situation would have never happened
Max sacrificing himself to register everyone on Earth as an Elysium citizen made him a hero in that world.
ОтветитьSuch a poor writing.... wtf.
ОтветитьVicks vapor rub is everything that he needs no med Bay needed
ОтветитьSo sad!
