What is the flail and shield you are using on the tempest build?!

In the last build you take 1 level of fighter for the CON saving throw proficiency but probably it is better taking the Resilient Feat at 4/8/12th level.
11 cleric 1 fighter build gains 2 feats, 12 cleric gains 3 feats.

Knowledge cleric seems very difficult build/multiclass. Can't wait for you to do something with that class.

How often do you end up damaging your party members with AOE spells? Or is it not something to worry about?

Evocation Wizard really help to mitigate friendly fire but these Cleric builds don't have that.

Tempest is super busted with spirit guardians, war caster and 1 level sorc for bonus action flying.

Theres a possible bug with Fighter/War Priest at later levels. When you get extra attack at fighter 5, the war priest charge will be expended before the fighter extra attack is spent. This means you cannot expend war priest charges at will when you have an extra attack. Hope they fix this in the next patch

Hey Fextralife, Want to ask for most casters - do you prefer Warcaster or Resilient Constitution? This is mostly if your base con is an odd number tbh (13, 15 etc)

Right now I only have time for a weekly (BG3) "D&D Night" so i have probably spent more time watching build videos and thinking about builds than I have actually playing the game! 😅

Life domain is a much bigger deal than a lot of these. They get two short rests worth of healing every short rest. And, with two levels of bard that’s 8 extra short rests worth of healing per long rest (9 if you include the bard’s extra short rest).

Add healing gear and each heal is …
* +2+spell level for life cleric
* heal the cleric for 2 for each ally healed. Including companions. So, a channel divinity may heal life cleric an extra 8+ hit points
* +3 temp hit points per ally. That’s an extra 12 hit points for the party with act 1 boots.
* bless for two rounds for the party. Bless is already one of the best spells in the game with a ring from act 1.
* blade ward on the party in act 3 with gloves
* +2 heals from an act 1 ring

The life cleric extras are the two massive AOE heals per short rest, healing self when you heal another, healing another heals for more.

Plus heavy armor to make them your tank. Which works well with that extra heal self when you heal another. These are totally free self heals that also benefit from all your gear.

Every cleric gets a damage increase at level 8. It’s a lesser version of the extra attack other classes get at level 5. Everyone either gets additional damage for melee attacks or extra cantrip damage. Life cleric gets extra melee damage. They’re really designed to be in the thick of it, and there are 4 legendary weapon options to support this.

War is garbage. Light is mediocre. Storm and life are the big two.

for roleplaying purposes, does your first level matter? e.g. I want to play as a cleric, but this build requires first level to be in fighter, will I still get the cleric roleplay options?

Would Shocking Grasp make sense as the extra Elf-race cantrip for a Tempest Cleric?

It’s a little thing, but it’s important. The concentration check is an ability check not a saving throw.

So, taking the resilient fear to get proficiency in constitution saving throws does nothing. But, anything that gives a bonus to ability checks works fine.

Suggestion: Can you do some roleplays builds? Like Holy Warrior(Paladin+Cleric), Lich King(Spore druid+necromage), etc.

One thing I wanna mention here, but there's nothing wrong about just goign for 12 levels of cleric.

if any class can really enjoy staying a pure class, cleric is one of the best at it. 5th and 6th level cleric spells are really strong.

I had a Tempest/Storm Sorc for my 2nd playthrough. All the lightning charge gear. One of my favorite combos was having someone else use the Illithid black hole power to pull mobs into a central spot and then flash fry them with an upcast Call Lightning or Lightning Bolt enhanced by Destructive Wrath and maybe some meta magic. Wiped out almost all of Raphael's minions in one shot with that. For my 3rd playthrough I'm just doing a straight up healer on my cleric and having fun with physical damage builds.

I prefer 6 in fighter and 6 in war domain cleric. You will still end up with 3 feats at level 12 and you only really lose one spell slot.

Taking 1 level as a War Domain Cleric is better for multi-classing than 2 levels in Fighter and I won’t let anybody tell me otherwise.

Spirit guardians is my favorite spell. Took resilient constitution to get con up to 18 with profiency for this spell

My favorite build in the game is Draconic Sorcerer 6 / Tempest Cleric 6. It allows you to cast and maximize the damage of two Lightning Bolts. Have someone else cast Create Water and you've done some absolutely insane amounts of damage.

I wait every day hoping for these builds. Can't wait for more companion builds. The Shadowheart build changed how I used my party!

Why take 1 level of fighter just to get Proficiency in CON saves as a War cleric? Taking that 1 level means you won't get your third feat, which prevents you from taking Resilience, which would do the same thing while also buffing your con by 1. Is this just to gain that benefit from level 1? I'd question if that's worth slowing down your spell progression by a whole level...

why not dump INT to 8 too?

Radiance of Dawn pairs really well with Luminous Armour and its Radiating Orb feature which will debuff enemies Attack Rolls in a large AoE.

Just here to say clerics are trash rn. 99% chance to hit with highground+hidden advantage. And shadowheart still can't hit the broadside of a barn. Definitely needing some work

You can learn scrolls and keep those spells so long as you save 1 lvl in wizard when you reset. This tempest cleric can be ridiculously improved with 1 lvl into wizard instead. 5 temp cleric + 1 wizard.
You got spirit guardians, misty step, haste, destructive wrath + lightning bolt.
