My biggest problem with this film is that the original cast almost to seem be intrusions in their own story. ST 1979 4/10 , ST 2 W OF K 10/10 ✝, ST 3 S FOR S 10/10 ✝, ST 4 TVH 8/10 , ST 5 TFF 10/10 ST 6 TUDC 10/10 🏮, STNG 7 GEN 7/10 , STNG 8 FC 3/10 , STNG INS 9/10 , STNG NEM 10/10 🥶.

I still believe it’s a masterpiece, it just needed tighter editing that wasn’t completed on time.

The 2001 of the Star Trek Series. Huge Entertainment at the Movietheatre on a large Screen. After knowing them only from the small TV you just could not believe your Eyes, seeing the Crew and the Ship so huge.

The end of this movie should the origin story of the Borg with Ailea being the first Queen and Decker as their King.

Lol it's a wonder people even went to the movies back then with all the crappy trailers 😅😅

I like Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) Movie. Even though this movie has some production problens, It Is not incredibly bad. You can still enjoy this movie If you pay attention to the story.

I saw this is 4K in cinema in 2022. And I am not a big fan of Star Trek but it wa something I felt I needed to do. My experience:









Yes, I stayed for the whole movie and yes it was enjoyable as it really felt I went back in time to 1979, the year this film was released and I must have been the youngest adult there as I am 25, which goes to show I guess not many young people would appreciate old shows and films, like I do.

Watched this in the theatre after persuading my dad to take me to seen it. I must have been 6/7 years old and remember being so bored and disappointed. Sorry dad!

After watching all the Star Trek Original movies. I realize the movies are crappy. It all start out with the only ship in the area with skeletons crew.

Watching this movie again after watching "Star Trek continues" brings a tear to my eye. They did such a good job bridging the two.

I love the original series to death and I am watching this movie as I type this comment. Man this movie is slow and boring

Of this movie I just love the parts were McCoy comes onto the bridge doesn't say a word and then leaves

I thought this was crap when it first came out and seeing it now is even worse. It's a credit to their acting ability that they could deliver some of those lines with a straight face. Corneier than Kellogs cornflakes.

Every action sequence in the entire movie is in this 2 minute trailer.

Thet really weren't very good at trailers back then.

Having just seen this again on tv in the UK I think it is fantastic piece of science fiction with brilliant special effects.
The only slight disappointment is that it is based on an old episode of Star Trek.

A boring extension of "The Changeling". Roddenberry gave birth to STAR TREK, but he didn't make it fly like his fans of later installments did.

As a young kid in the late 70’s and just seeing close in counters and Star Wars...I was amazed and could not wait for the next adventure of the future to come in all movies for us... while I loved them all and still do, I am saddened to see what has come to our way of living now in 2020

The Motion Picture is the best Star Trek film followed by Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.... I quite liked Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home aswell.

I prefer Orson Welles narration .

For months in advance, I planned to be in a theater for the premiere shoing.. I have never been as disappointed as I that day.. Fortunately, Star Trek II was on the horizon and would make everything better!
