10 Shaker Card Hacks You Should Try!

Do you like making shaker cards?! I love them but I often forget a step, usually it's remembering the acetate :) Do you have any funny shaker moments?

Another method -- still add different sections of color on paper -- but add clear sequins -- would pick up the background colors.

How do you hide the foam tape from looking weird when you tilt the card? I made a few shaker cards with foam tape n can't figure out how to hide the tape from showing when I tilt the card lol thanks for the help in advance

Thanks for sharing all these great ideas to make shakers! I agree with you, the butterfly card is gorgeous. I may have added some glitter or shimmer to the insert bfly die cuts, just for a little something extra ;) but that's me, I love me some glitter :D

My shaker filler always sticks to the sides of the foam tape. What do you do to keep that from happening?

Hi Justine! Great ideas! I have one question for you. On the last card, did you use an anti static pouch or tool on the acetate before you embossed or no? I didn't see one used. Thanks again - all of the cards are lovely!

Very nice but I'm not sure what was the point of the shaker pouch, it looked like you used it the way you would use a regular sheet of acetate, if it's a pouch I'm assuming you are supposed to put the beads inside the pouch instead of onto the card, right?

Great cards, I was given a stack of cards featuring an oval aperture so I'll use some of them as shaker cards, hjank you.

Thanks for taking the fear out of making the shaker.......one hint.... I glued some of the special shaker elements to background .....like the butterflies so when not shaking some of the special elements show.....

Loved this video, so many innovative ways to make a shaker card. I've never wanted to make one, figured lots of work and it just get tossed anyway but... I've been looking for something fun and extraordinary for a wedding card that is mailable and haven't found anything until now. OMG I should have had this video 1 year ago, I made 12 beautiful shakercards with a very intracate Happy Birthday day die, OMG would have saved me AGES if I used foam sheets :-( haha, never wanted to make those again, BUT NOW I DO, you are so brilliant, thx SO much!!

I understand that most is advertising, as not many people have the money to buy all the stuff. For instance, I reuse all the clear plastic windows from toy boxes, yoghurt lid, or as well I use the laminate pouches and send them through without anything in it, just to make a window.
people need to know other options.
As well if you have background dies with heart's, stars etc, you can pick up the tiny shapes and save them in a container to use instead of store brought miniature segments.
