A worthy guitar
ОтветитьI've listened so many brilliant, not so briiant average and shockingly poor guitarists trying to get kosoffs sound. But in my opinion none come very close to him. Sorry guys. None of house can get the free sound right. What a legend!
Ответитьthis is a tone that i have pursued. I get close but always thought almost... Im not a cork sniffer but its the guitar. first not he played on it i was like thats pauls sound. I always said any lp will get you there. I might have been wrong.
ОтветитьI closed my eyes and that 59 les Paul sounded like a $400 Epiphone. I truly believe Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top started this BS about 59 Les Pauls being the Holy Grail guitar just so he can sell his for millions someday. I’ve seen videos of people who have played 59’s saying that some are good and some are bad just like every other year of Les Pauls made. The lie is getting more obvious to me all the time
ОтветитьI've been listening to so many guitarists for years and to this day no one achieves such captivating vibrato as Paul. Miss him. My favorite song of him is Molten Gold
ОтветитьJJN was born to play that guitar.
ОтветитьJared = Phil X
ОтветитьHe does not inspire rock imo. Playing that Les Paul so high he looks like a mariachi, and it is more the fact that he plays a bit different and that he makes faces, rather than actually playing something original. John Bohlinger is actually 100 times better than Nichols. I guess we are running out of guitar heros.
ОтветитьThe next greenie value
ОтветитьHe,s a fine geetar player but he doesnt play the main riff correctly
ОтветитьWhat a geetar!!!!
ОтветитьWhat is the big deal and and making faces where there no need....HAHAHAHA!!!! just n old guitar.....
ОтветитьJared James Nichols is bad ass guitar slinger and can sing as well
ОтветитьIts a great guitar, but pedals just ruin it. One amp, one guitar, turn up, play.
ОтветитьGreat touch and feel, killer tone.
ОтветитьThe sessions melt on the acrobatic pull.with de kossoff guitar ,more like a note on ice than within a scale ,How did the sock spare for the independent?
ОтветитьDanny Kirwan and Paul Kossoffs vibratos were the best
ОтветитьI know I've seen this dude somewhere, but he freaking rocks!
ОтветитьMan pull all the faces you want but not feeling ya at all!
ОтветитьIn case y'alls ears didn't pick it up, that's some cool cool finderpicking. Third time watching the vid. Now I understand why he has his signature amp.
ОтветитьWell he played the shit out of that thing, just what it needed!
ОтветитьWhat a sweet tone.❤
ОтветитьKossoff much missed. That vibrato.
ОтветитьTbf, Kos could have made any guitar sing, none of the greats from that era were gear geeks, kept it simple and played it loud.
ОтветитьPaul Kosoff soul is still living in that guitar....I can hear it...
ОтветитьJust goes to show that Paul's sound was in him and not in the guitar. I hear nothing of Kossoff in anything that this guy plays.
ОтветитьTwo things most of us guitar players want. Paul Kossoff's guitar, and Paul Kossoff's vibrato.
ОтветитьI didn't think it was going to sound like a guitar. And then it played it and it sounded like a guitar! Vintage is best!
ОтветитьI discovered Jared at my local watering hole in Ottawa Canada ("the brass monkey") and I was totally blown away by Jared's presence, energy and just total kick-assery. I left an instant fan and have been ever since!
Ответитьhow many guitar faces can this guy make lol
ОтветитьIt's like if Ray Lewis (an NFL linebacker) played guitar. I would not even let this guy play my 2002 Chinese Stratocaster that I paid $31.50 for, much less something important. It is impossible to copy this guy. The way he picks with his index finger looks bizarre and he has his thumb ready to go too, so it is almost like he has 2 picking hands with 2 picks. He can go so fast while still have amazing clarity and tone. Jared is one of my current favorite guitar players. He's like Ted Nugent, X 2.
ОтветитьJJN is freakin’ awesome, and such a nice guy!!
ОтветитьIt’s still hard to believe that when “All Right Now” was recorded, the oldest member of the band was 20.
ОтветитьGreeny substitute
ОтветитьI would love to have this guitar....
Jared is such a killer guitarist and likable dude
I want epiphone or gibson to do a replica of this guitar the kossoff les paul is iconic as the Peter green one 🤘🤘🤘
ОтветитьFantastic guitar... legendary... classic Les Paul magic...thank you for documenting it, dude...
ОтветитьBangsaaaddd tone na 🙌🔥🔥
ОтветитьPaul Kosoff was a big influence on my playing .That’s were I got my vibrato technique from .Paul was such a great player with fantastic tone .
ОтветитьI love the rockin sounds, but I always want to hear these straight up clean, just a bit, so to get a baseline as to what comes out of the guitar before it gets processed and eq'd and overdrived. Kinda like over-roasting coffee, at some point all kinda seems the same.
ОтветитьThat midrange honk just hits you right between the eyes.
ОтветитьPaul Kossoff would've been one of the all time greats if he hadn't died so young. He was awesome and Free rocked hard.
ОтветитьI love... "Oh, they've seen it!"
ОтветитьI got that Early Nuge Vibe too. Older I get though I’m agreeing it’s the player more than the guitar. I’d love to own a Holy Grail Les Paul but probably not sound much better than I do on my ‘98 Standard. It’s a good one too.
ОтветитьFree was a great band and Paul Kossoff's playing was unique and very expressive. Two of my favorite bands from 68 to 70 was Free and Taste with Rory Gallagher.
Ответитьthat guitar loves to talk
ОтветитьWhat the hell is wrong with some of these negative comments?🙄That sounds great! An iconic burst played by a great player!
ОтветитьI love all your rig rundowns very much but you’re doing some artist that you’ve already had on before for a second time when you haven’t even done some of my all time favorites even once yet. Please can you try to do one with the legendary Mr. Philip Sayce or maybe another guitar legend like Mato Nanji?
