Galloway forest in the UK is a dark sky location. Took my girls there one night a few years back, absolutely incredible from the second we stepped out the car. Never seen a sky like it before, or since. They absolutely shit themselves through to be fair, not surprising it was so fkn dark, they were freaked out a bit. Lol maybe take them back now they are both a but older, place was awsome.

How come you didn’t get a clear video of Jupiter. I could get a better video of Jupiter from Mumbai sky from my Orion Skyscanner 100 with my i phone 14pro attached to it ?

This is amazing! I remember when i was about 6 or so im 45 now i was on holiday's with my family on are way back from the county club late at night in ireland gazing at the sky and not talking (it was pich black we would have a torch so we could see are way home) and my dad asking me what you looking at? I asked him why is there clouds in space? He picked me up and explained to me thats the milky-way and we live on earth thats in the milky-way and there all planets and stars gas and dust. My mind was blown away i still love to look up when everyone is looking down at there phones and do take photos with my scope but that memory! Is still with me even thow my dad is gone.

Besides sailing on the ocean, I heard about places on Earth's land that are very dark to visit for astronomy. I usually hear that the darkest place is in a desert in South America called the Atacama Desert (which explains why some of the world's largest telescopes are there). However, this video starts out by revealing that it is referring to the Canary Islands. That's alright, but people should still consider the Atacama Desert as also the darkest place at night with the clearest sky.

Absolutely fantastic! I live in Arizona and have the privilege of being a 15 minute car ride away from very little light pollution and it is something that some don't take advantage of and most aren't even aware of. I'm so happy for you, enjoy it cause one day it's all gone.
