CUBASE:How to setup MIDI

Hello everybody
Is there someone Who knows how to save a midifile with different midi outs for the tracks.
I want to use cubase live on stage and use different devies. And of course it is not comfortabele to put every midifile in the right way...than a gig takes a day😅
So if you know please answer! Thx ahead

i have cubase 5.i cannot record my midi instrument.i have used usb midi cable to record with my yamaha psr s910.how to connect my device to cubase and what the steps i have take.sir can you explain please.hope your reply.

What about playing midi files. I have Cubase 5 LE It is setup with MS GM Wave table synth. Still no midi is coming out from my speakers. Yet I load up Cakewalk Sonar open a midi file and it plays no problem without even having to set it up.

How can one play any instrument on Midi track?  am just a beginner.. Kindly help... Do not know where to select the instrument... etc

A question: How do I get VSTi's for Cubase. I am not sure if I have any Midi Instruments to be played in Cubase. I can play in Ableton, but in Cubase, I just do not understand the mechanism. Do I need to download some plugins?

I have recently installed Cubase AI4. I set up the audio/midi setup in DEVICE SETUP.  However when I open a MIDI file to play in Cubase there is no sound.  They MIDI plays, however I do not see any volume meter running. 
What am I doing wrong? Is there another place I need to setup the output?
