I recently started playing this game and have been trying to learn the different starts. I enjoy playing The Spanish and have been trying to learn how to fast castle. This helped so much thank you!!!

Just a suggestion, when you do beginner tutorials I think it would be better to slow down your gameplay significantly, because lots of new players can't follow the high APM movements, and therefore don't learn much from the video. I have a few friends that are trying to learn that can't follow the speed of your videos, even though you have some of the best info to give.

make a "beginner" build order at 200 APM... i very appreciate you Hera but a beginner will never be able to follow that, move a scoot and maintain a constant vill prod in one TC is alredy hard for a beginner and they dont use hotkey too so even understand what you doing here can be realy hard to follow, seing thing going that fast just discourage most of people to get into AOE or RTS in general, its a guide for people who's alredy is into RTS, not for beginner :)

In your optimal Dark Age video you say 19 villagers is the max you want if you're trying to advance quickly, and 3 on wood is plenty. Here you go 23 vills with 7 on wood, and still do a time I can only dream of. What is the optimal fast pop breakdown?

this is 1500+ tutorial, beginers can't have 6 on sheep and have food for production vil all the time, they can't build houses, produce vils and scout all in same time at start, also beginers don't lure deers with that suced, they probably mill deer, this order is best but for better players, new would need build order with 7 on food and with mill on deers to maintain everything ... not saying this is not best order it is, but I'm only saying you as best player see all this very easy to do while beginers sufer on some things

interesting, i usually go for 27+2 4tc boom on arena pocket and 23/24 + 2 on flank. SHould i go 24+2 on pocket as well?

Hi, when I attack the boar with the tc and then set the waypoint on the boar my vils still go back to the sheep instead of hitting the boar. I see that yours go onto the boar immediately and I'd like to know how :)

i get castle dropped basically every game. Its usually easy enough to deal with but how do i deal with mangudai when they are under a castle?

From what I understand, the difference between this being a beginner and pro BO, is that beginners should get horse collar after clicking up to CA… whereas the pros wont until post imp.

I dont know how i managed to Play this Game as a kid and Had fun without knowing builds and countrr units

Since I'm on Xbox, I just use the upper right econ option until I actually click to upgrade to Castle. I micro manage one or two villies at most.

Hi Hera, do you have any tip and trick how to stop militia (men-at-arms) rush? It mostly happen when i am 20 vills and going to feudal, then 3 militia come and soon are men-at-arms. Trying to fight with villiagers always cost me 2 - 3 deaths. Also be fully walled at this time is too soon. Thanks.

A good tactic for low elo (<850-1000) is doing this with a variation, so instead of booming, just add some more to gold and go for 20 knights in 20 minutes with basically any civ or 20 elephants in 20 minutes with malay.
I say this, because most of the time, low elo players come waaaay too late for a regular scout/archer rush, giving you plenty of time to have at least 4-6 knights once they get in your base. Also, most low elo players don't know when to attack, so giving them some checkpoint, like "make 20 knights" will give them confidence and a solid down to earth strategy

"beginner build order" that includes pushing deer. What a joke. I'm struggling too maintain 1k elo and can't fathom pushing deer

Would it be possible for you to ask a 800-1k elo player to showcase this? When you pull off the build orders and adjust on the fly, it doesn't show this as a beginner friendly build.
