Everything is connected, in fact, the Bluetooth device is connected successfully.
ОтветитьI love your videos ❤
I’d would be nice to see a video about ways of learning all the notes on the fretboard because this is still the highest mountain to climb on my journey
Commenting to physically admit that I’ve been noodling and stuck at level one for five years since I’ve started.
Ответитьhearing the notes, intervals or at least the key belongs into this video as well i suppose, doesn‘t it?
Ответитьyour playing is like VANILLA on MAYO on WHITE BREAD
there are no "hips" in your playing
it's TEDIOUSLY well-executed blandness
Neon ain’t basic XD
ОтветитьYou seem to be speaking English, but this lesson was in Latin to me……and I don’t understand a lick of Latin.
ОтветитьNeon is easy? Maybe for someone trained in finger-style who’s been playing for a while, sure.
ОтветитьPersonally I think you should really skip the learning songs stage, PRACTICE CHORDS AND SCALES. It's like trying to learn to play hockey when you can't skate. Think of the Chords and Scales as necessary tools to be able to get the job done efficiently.
ОтветитьMy first guitar lesson as a 14 year old, my guitar teacher gave me a box set of El Mariachi, Desperado and Once Upon a Time in Mexico and told me to watch them before next week.
I don't know if I learnt much about guitar, but I certainly learnt to love Mariachi music, explosions and Salma Hayek...
this is far to advanced for me but so satifying :D
ОтветитьStart with some basic stuff like Neon😃
ОтветитьDon't listen to the "don't expect to get girls" comment.
I played Sweet Caroline once, and my Facebook blew up with friend requests from widowed 50 year olds at my church 😍
Dude I know said there are no limits to chords . He said chords are the man trying to hold you down lol
ОтветитьI have been playing the guitar off and on for 30 or more years. I have just decided I need to learn music theory before I die. This channel has proved to be an awesome source of learning advanced concepts. The relaxing atmosphere has me watching these videos until the end every time. Glad I found this channel.
Ответить😭ididn't understand a thing😭
ОтветитьGreat teacher! Thanks Paul!
ОтветитьInspirational my friend!!!
So well done and documented. :)
Inspiring people is extremely difficult and a rare skill. Paul does it all through every video. He's a blessing to learners like me.
ОтветитьBest advice I got was you play your guitar above or below your dick, never on your dick and if your gonna fuck up then fuck up big. Advice from Dean ween.
ОтветитьWatched this as a bassist, and honestly all of this is applicable on bass. So i will definetly keep this in mind.
ОтветитьI am watching this, but I am still struggling moving my fingers on guitar:))) I tought the video might help me, but not
ОтветитьI don't know at what point I am. I have a guitar and playing it whenever I can, for maybe 2 years I was playing songs, from easier ones to more challenging, I really liked it. But after a while I realised that I wish to know how to play my own melodies and songs but I'm highly limited by my skills. Then I had proceeded to learn some music theory, started like a few weeks ago, I literally got bombed by tons of new things, how everything works, how chords are made, scales, types of them and I can say that I'm drowning in all that information. I just don't know where to start, like how is this all connected, what can I play and what I can't? It is really annoying that I know how some things are made but can't do. It's my dream to just sit down in my room or under the tree in nature and play for myself what my mind will come up with (I'm a simple young man alright?). Sometimes I just wish there is a teacher next to me that tells me what to do or why should do. As a self taught player learning guitar is a big challenge, but I know I won't give up.
P.S Sorry if you consider my English as bad, it's not my native
Dude. WHYYYY are you such an awesome instructor? 😁😁😁😁😁
ОтветитьLol a Drummer that no one wants to play with
ОтветитьI love how this guy doesn't just say you don't need theory. I used to think it wasn't necessary, I was at a standstill after 20 years of playing then started learning theiry and I've progressed by leaps and bounds.
Ответить"trust your feelings" sounds like Obi-Wan
Ответитьbut what do you play that b myxolydian over? the B major chord or the E major?
ОтветитьOh my god. Guitar players will do anything but learn to read.
Dude, quit making excuses. Just read some bassic footballs.
Hall lenord has been out since the 80s

Guitar and family life the two most important balances in life, to me anyway, getting good an still being a good present mum. It might take a few years longer, but i can still! get to where i want to be in a few years an enjoy the years ill never get back! with my beautiful girls, eldest (5) actually likes strumming while im playing, she gets pisssd with me playing the same song over an over though 😂
The best advice I got recently is make words out of fretboard ie feed, face, ace, bed, cage, etc - it’s actually a fun way to familiarise yourself with the fret board. Wish I learnt this trick years ago
Ответитьmy grandpa always said "whatever you do don't you dare playing stairway to heaven in my presence"
wise words
First step: play neon
ОтветитьI wish I could just memorize the goddamn notes on the fretboard. I really didn't anticipate that trying to do something so seemingly simple would take this long or require this much effort.
ОтветитьAs soon as I saw "don't expect to get girls" I closed the video😢😢
ОтветитьThere is something to the touch on the fret board of a good player that is instantly recognizable. I don't have it, wish I did. Best advice, don't do the same thing over and over again as it will damage your hand, from repetitive motion injury. Vary the songs you play. Hold the guitar properly, best would be along the lines of the classically trained. If you take lessons, go to a good classical guitar teacher for a short spell who would know the proper rudiments to start with, as well with that written "classical guitar" music will indicate the proper fingering, highly enlightening and really doesn't require more than 6 months to be a very big help. Not real hard to be of a great help.
ОтветитьA friend of mine told me once, "If you don't love the guitar, you won't want to play it." Buy a guitar within your budget that you're happy with, it doesn't have to be thousands of dollars. Don't just grab any old thing. If you do it's going to sit on that stand and collect dust.
ОтветитьA piece of guitar advice given to me by the epic shred master Gabriel from Immortal Guardian was to pick the hardest song or solo I’ve always wanted to learn aaaaand go Fkn learn it! Lol pretty blunt advice but it’s stuck with me and I use it to this day! Always looking for the next challenge and overcoming it as best I can
ОтветитьThe pain of practice is better than the pain of regret.
ОтветитьDoes anyone knows the exact model of his tele ?
ОтветитьLearn to actively listen to yourself and anticipate while playing, play with other people, play a lot, don't play for weeks and then play a lot again, learn other instruments to get a hands on understanding about what yr band members are experiencing, perform for an audience/people a lot and get paid(big mental difference and if not possible? then busk), learn sound engineering, change yr strings, buy good quality gear/guitar (you progress faster when inspired by yr own sound).
ОтветитьE4 is sus
Ответитьthanks so much, this encouraged me to go back to my piano 🙏
ОтветитьThis dude's voice is a song of itself lol. Making my want to buy a guitar again asap.
ОтветитьPlaying guitar = Joy
