I don’t think she cared about his safety, just that he walked in between her and her camera. I agree he needs to be careful, but dodging tripods is another gym hazard!
Ответитьactually, I really hate when people walk on your platform, especially if you have weight over your shoulders (i.e. cleans or squats), I will disagree on this one.
ОтветитьHe probably had to walk around her camera shit
Ответитьi believe robert frank has a great tutorial on how to deal with people who think the gym is a recording studio
ОтветитьShe's a jerk.
ОтветитьHot take - that’s mad disrespectful /unsafe to be that close to someone mid C&J. If she passed out/ failed the lift / had to bail it could have been a safety hazard for both.
Do I think throwing the weight at someone is the solution no, but being blasted for being an idiot and putting not only yourself in danger but her as well completely warranted. If you don’t like being in a gym that allows oly then go somewhere else, it’s hard to find a public gym that allows it anyway.
Women don't belong in the gym lol
ОтветитьI see this completely differently. It looks like the camera is up against a wall, not in a walkway. You're giving him the benefit of the doubt to assume he didn't see her. I don't believe that. He was cutting through the power lifting/Olympic lifting area. That's not a walkway. To me it looks like he approaches to intentionally bump her bar or otherwise interfere with her lift. Just thinking of all those times I got two inches in front of a power lifter during their lift or saw someone else do anything like that....that would be never. I have never seen anyone do that. She was not joking about throwing the weight at him to hurt him. Reread it. She resisted the urge to launch the weight, meaning she patiently waited and didn't drop it to preserve her safety, knowing it would hit him.
ОтветитьFuck that, that kid did nothing wrong. These people have absolutely no special privileges to film in the gym. There is no circumstance where other people should have to be inconvenienced so someone can shoot footage of themselves lifting. I'll go a step further, if you see someone filming themselves working out in the gym you should go out of your way to walk in front of their phone. This shit needs to stop.
ОтветитьSolution: Don't record your lifts anymore. Nobody cares. It's in a public space and people are going to go to their different selective machines 24/7, so expect people to always be in the way or quit trying to get popular on your betterment if it's a detriment to everybody else for around you.
ОтветитьShe's kind of hot
ОтветитьYou know it's that serious when Joey didn't say his iconic catchphrase at the end.
ОтветитьVenting hours after something happened isn't a threat. And the idea of approaching someone douchey or stupid enough to walk in front of someone doing a lift and letting them know what they did wrong, especially when they have at least 4 inches on you and who knows how much weight, is silly. Women often don't get the luxury of telling men why they're wrong, even politely and constructively.
ОтветитьNow people at the gym are making jokes about possible m u r d e r... i hate this world more everyday
ОтветитьThese people are in the gym for hours, aren't they? so who cares? are you lifting just one time? and why would it bother anyone that this guy randomly passed by? you still got your video... people need to relax
ОтветитьIt's always women being entitled
ОтветитьThe camera is cancer.
ОтветитьWTH?????
That young man DID NOTHING WRONG.
Why would you walk up to that kid and tell him anything?
HE IS MINDING HIS OWN BUSINESS.
WTH are you saying Joey?
Am I missing something?
Are we being sarcastic?
Jesus Christ I hope so
It’s about time you checked out your minds and not ya bodies. Muscleheads.! More muscle than brain 🧠 😮😂
ОтветитьWhat if she needed to drop it?? I was so nervous. She is right to complain. She could have worded that better.
ОтветитьYeah, I’m not gonna get upset with the girl on this one. Dude absolutely was massively in the wrong there. She shouldn’t have posted it, but I’m gonna give a young person a little bit of Grace. Maybe she could blur his face or take it down
ОтветитьIf she had passed out from lifting it, then it most likely would have landed on thd kid. But the threat of wanting to throw said weight atvthe kid, is just egocentric boasting, promoting toxic gym behaviour and makes me want to 'throw' something at these individuals, most likely my words at them to, as you put it "MIND YOUR BUSINESS". I haven't been able to go back to my gym, due to dealing with some injuries that I gained on my limbs. But I hope that when I get back to it, it doesn't have this show boating and toxic gym behaviour there.
ОтветитьHe was being a dick walking that close to her. She was being a dick posting the video.
ОтветитьStop filming yourself doing shit at the gym. Stop being attention obsessed. Your social media isn't shit. You aren't going to be the next big thing. Most people find you fucking obnoxious.
ОтветитьThese people use the most random songs as background music.
Ответить🌽
ОтветитьShe has a point though & here is why: as a matter of health & safety you NEED to be a safe distance from an Olympic weight lifter so walking within a metre of one greatly increases the likelihood of you being injured if that person fails the lift in many different ways. Another thing is that the person walking so close can EASILY negatively impact focus by substantially reducing their neural drive: this alone can result in failure & or injury so PLEASE stay a safe distance away from people training especially when they are doing such moves as I would sue if either myself or YOU were injured as a result of YOUR INCONCIDERATION!!!
Peace & Love|!!!
Simp
ОтветитьClassy. Thank you sir. Damn fine lift.
ОтветитьI wouldn’t have posted this..but this is one of the few ones that I can see her point. That’s a lot of weight and he put them both in danger. You do need to give others the courtesy of personal space and follow safety protocols in the gym
ОтветитьShe's at a public gym. If she can't control the weight that's he fault. The guy did nothing wrong by walking by. Leave the camera at home.
ОтветитьI don't think she even thought about safety. She's just mad that he walked in front of the camera.
ОтветитьIf social media has taught me anything, there's a pretty good chance that she actually had him do that intentionally in order to post the video for views and clout.
ОтветитьI wonder what people did in gyms before smartphones. Why the hell does everyone feel the need to record all of their workouts? If you’re worried about your form, hire a coach or just ask someone to watch you during a lift. I’m sick of people needing to record themselves doing nothing impressive just to post it on social media
Ответить“Running across the platform”
Bro was walking.
Impressive lift.
ОтветитьIf she had that weight in the air before he walked across i would agree with her (i do not condone violence) but she was only having it on her shoulders so nothing could happen
ОтветитьI've seen these types of setups. While I agree about being a bit more aware of surroundings, the gym need to make some sort of boundaries around the general area where someone would be lifting. I'm not talking anything blatant, just painted lines on the floor or diffrent colored flooring for the "platform" area. But yes, wanting to launch the weights is ridiculous
ОтветитьLove you dude, that last part you mentioned about talking to each other and explaining what happened. I bet that kid did not even knew what happened, a lot of people are just getting mad at people and posting videos but only a few go and talk to the person.
We need to talk to each other and learn to be respectful.
The anger, the outrage, the lesbianism, it was stunning as it was brave.😜
ОтветитьDidn't see mention of hurting him. Maybe she did talk to him.
Ответитьwhat an adult.....darn.... being nice and informative
ОтветитьNo, that dude was 1000% in the wrong and fuck that guy. You need to be more aware of your surroundings. You don't step on a platform that's in use for ANY lift. That is incredibly stupid. You endanger someone's safety when you do that (and your own).
ОтветитьLifting platforms is serious business. I think she may be in the wrong gym, or the gym doesn't know how to differentiate between casual goers and hardcore lifters. If I was a serious lifter I would not go lifting there..
ОтветитьI'd be pissed too if some fool did that. Unaware and impolite AF in the middle of someone's rep.
And recording your attempts at max or near max weights is normal for olympic lifts to analyze technique later. 🤷♂️
The woman needs to stop filming in the gym, silly cow!
ОтветитьAll that is probably 100 lbs.
ОтветитьI think that was intentional😊
ОтветитьGood thoughts my brother
