I vote for more of these projects. Complete overkill. beyond ridiculous and watercooling oversize
Ответитьhohoho nextlevel
Ответитьyou forgot to say sorry at the end lol
ОтветитьGo ahead, cook your GPU...
ОтветитьJust dip it in thermal paste and call it good
ОтветитьMy CCOHS senses are tingling from looking at that warehouse. I already see several violations surrounding that double door region. and up the storage racks.
Ответитьi think there is a pretty good reason why nvidia doesnt want you to do this to be honest
Ответитьyou guys are doing way to much trying to get it on there.. next time you guys do this.. all you have to do is get a "grittle" put the card on top of that with some alumn foil as a spacer set it on med/low or so, let it heat up and this will preheat the board and make the soldering iron work as it should. a hot air workstation would be better but not necessarily needed. just remove the old shunt and replace it with the appropriate value. i see all of you guys using the same faulted method. its easier to just remove than it is to stack them. i have power modded all of my cards prior to watercooling them. i have done the same method on the 10, 20 and 30 series (900 series was bios mod-able) the only issue you are running into is the ground plane, there is ALOT of copper in the pcb. Preheating the overall gpu on the "grittle" for a bit will basically remove this issue if done correctly. also mixing in some lower temp solder into their solder then removing the excess can help(specifically flux core 1.6% flux SN60/PD40 solder works great).
Ответитьi have just watched 3 videos on why you should never shunt mod your gfx card and well DONT DO IT. it frys the chips and kills your card
ОтветитьFunny, the only PSU that i've ever had die on my, was a Seasonic... still lasted for years, and the only failure was it gradually losing the ability to turn on.
ОтветитьWHY WOULD YOU FILL IT WITH SPRAY FOAM BEFORE YOU LEAK TEST IT!?!?!?!
ОтветитьDo a 4090 now ik you guys got one 😂 do it love to see what a 4090 with the right hands can do
ОтветитьTry to do it with a 4090
ОтветитьHow can neither of you solder?... Or even KNOW what soldering iron you need...
ОтветитьYou should really fix that cooler up, she deserves it ;)
ОтветитьAfter watching so many REPAIR videos of blown GPU with shunt mods, I had to come and see wtf that was. Sounds just like the thing that would cause what you see on the repair videos: chips soldered to the board, almost impossible to fix. There is a reason why you don't play with voltages and resistances past their limitations.
ОтветитьIf you need more heat out of the soldering iron just wrap some copper wire around just above the tip.
ОтветитьSolder tips: Use a Weller with a horseshoe tip(it retains a bit of solder), use tacky flux from a syringe and buy a flux cleaner canister with brush. It will clean everything. Also .5mm solder with fluxcore. It will be a world of difference. For experiments you can use lead solder to mix in the silver solder thus making it melt better(corrodes after years).
ОтветитьAlex Doing videos means fun, risk adn entertainment ❤🎉🎉
ОтветитьGod you ruined that card..
ОтветитьHey, soldering fluxes are conductive! Wash your pcb after soldering.
Ответитьwill they one day hire someone who can solder?
ОтветитьThey should do this for the 4090 and compare them
ОтветитьShould have used flex seal
ОтветитьNow do the same to a 3060 and make nvidia even more mad because their lower end GPUs have more power than they let us believe
Ответитьurgh i dunno what to say about this mess
ОтветитьMy take-away from this video is that Jensen is just generally a butthead who doesn't like fun.
ОтветитьThe water leak gave me an anxiety attack holy crap
ОтветитьBut can it run Jedi Survivor at 60fps?
ОтветитьMy god...these guys ...you can tell they didn't have electronics as a hobby growing up...when I see soldering abortions like that I guess I take my skills for granted, because that looks like it couldn't get any worse !
Ответитьwe need more videos of alex and his team doing this shit. these are the entertaining videos.
Ответитьhow do you not have a better soldering iron than that
edit: also its "i squared C" instead of "i two c"
great vid other than that
Now I really want to know what all of those people who scored higher were doing.
Ответитьthis guys xDD <3
Ответитьyeah more hardcore oc!
ОтветитьWould be easier to just replace the stock 0.5ohms by a one with lower value like 0.3ohms ?
Ответитьthis poor pretty 3090
ОтветитьWhy is Linustechtips a documentary channel now 😢 I used to love it but now 😢
ОтветитьYuck.
ОтветитьYour warranty will be voided....
Ответить100% that these guys instead of changing the temperature, ended up recalibrating what the soldering iron temperature sensor thinks it's at. That soldering irons user interface is terrible, and pretty much everybody does it once before they realises that if you want to change the temperature, you have to look it up the method instead of blindly playing with the buttons.
Ответить1 year later, heat related warranty claims are spiking.🥳 🥵🤕🥵🤯👻
Ответитьwas that a parody of someone or something?! Why didn't they check it first for any leaks before spraying the foam shit out of it xD
Ответитьggg
Ответить"before you get an EVC, make sure your GPU is compatible."
If you want to overclock and you doesn't even know if your GPU is EVC compatible, just hook it up to a car charger and be done with it.
He sounds south african
ОтветитьHow to get new equipment at LTT.
Instead of fixing old equipment ensure it can never be fixed again.
Do people think this is cute??? This guy is not very good at planning projects
Ответитьkyle sounds south african
