Do NOT Drag Down to Create Numbered Lists in Excel! Here's Why.

I've been a dragger until yesterday when I somehow discovered SEQUENCE, so I decided to play around with it at home a spreadsheet that I was experimenting different with some of the newer functions. That combined with WRAPROWS and WRAPCOLS suddenly made what I was playing around with SO much nicer. So now I have to see if I will incorporate that into my daily Excel work. BTW, when I would drag to create a numbered list, I actually used a function (I would just add 1 to the previous row, for example), so if I delete a row, the list would automatically update. I'm excited to see if I will be able to make more robust spreadsheets using SEQUENCE.

Hi Leila! I like Sequence and Row formula to use in the first column of my tables. But what I don't like is that Sequence adds number to my Grand Total row too. How to avoid it?

Hello. I use the"SEQUENCE" function at work as we use there Office 365, but I wanted to use it at home and can't do it, since I use Office 2019. What could be a good equivalent in an older Excel? Thanks.

This is very usefull function, but I don't use numbers, because excel does have them at the left edge of sheet.
So, why should I duplicate them?)

Since I discovered the SEQUENCE function, I tend to use that function. It can for example be combined with the SORT function, to sort the output of SEQUENCE in a descending order.

Will it work if the rows are hidden?
