there is a way to add to keyscape or others plugin called pianotech8 or something like that, it adds all missing overtones from potentially not muted strings
ОтветитьThe Winner: The Real thing. And the best sound VST "Grandeur", but with less decay time. The actual decay of the sound is too large compared with the real thing.
ОтветитьSoftware instruments sound compressed and in your face. The real thing sounds dynamic and alive.
ОтветитьGrandeur is like best of both worlds. EWQL has some very noticeable imaging. They lack the treble bite of the real thing.
ОтветитьAmazing comparison with a steinway ! Ha ha ... thank you
ОтветитьThanks! That was nice. The real piano sounds the best, despite being slightly out of tune. 🙂
ОтветитьThe commentaries are funny. People who are used to that bright and unreal tone of VST's pianos, always prefer these bright samples. For those who are familiar with grand piano recording, the first one (Eastwest?) is the closest one (or, the less artificial).
ОтветитьThis actually isnt far.. This guy plays so damn good.. Every Plugin sounds amazing...lol
ОтветитьI bought a Roland FP-30X to finally learn the piano at 28 (not trying to produce music etc.). In your opinion, which is the best plugin to take the Roland’s sound to the next level? Just started learning about all the available plugins, but I heard about Garritan CFX, Keyscape’s C7, Ravenscroft 275, Pianoteq (to mention a few), are great. What’s your opinion?
Also, trying to load Garritan CFX on a Roland FP-30X connected to a desktop PC but I can feel the latency affecting my playing. I can around 2 ms latency but it still feels “slow”. Don’t know if my brain is making this up. How do you load the plugin (VST, Standalone)? How can someone “eliminate” latency, to replicate the feel of a real piano?
What is the most responsive (lowest latency) plugin in your experience? Maybe Pianoteq?
Currently using Reaper as my choice of DAW (tried Ableton too), I’ve set the Sample Rate to the maximum of 384 kHz that my Chord Mojo DAC supports, which lowered the latency instantly, and now I’m experimenting with the Buffer size, around 128-256 samples, keeping in mind how my system responds, so as to avoid cracks and pops. I’ve also got a Ryzen 3600 system, which handles all this pretty fine I’d say. Still feels kinda slow.
1.Real Grand Piano 2.KEYSCAPE 3.GRANDEUR 4.EW
ОтветитьThe real one is out of tune! :D
ОтветитьI like all of them.
They all have very unique sounding timbres.
Grandeur, keyscape and the real piano sounded the best
ОтветитьNice presentation. I prefered the Eastwest Piano, closer to the real piano i heared on my monitors.
Subjective but that's what i heared. Thank you.
you cant touch the sonic quality of real thing, ever....
ОтветитьGrandeur vst and acoustic fosho
ОтветитьHi I would like to say thank you for this great comparison !
ОтветитьI have the Eastwest Piano Diamond collection and the amount of varying presets and controls for each Piano is unbelievable.
Mic positions, open or closed, recording environment etc the list goes on it literally creates thousands of recording possibilities.
I think you can make it match what ever you need if you spend the time experimenting.
Technology has taken us along way.
Nice playing! there’s no latency at all from the computer?
Ответитьamazing demonstration, and with a real piano also, all demos needs to be like this
ОтветитьSTEINWAY vélocité , dynamique , harmonique, sympathie +++ REAL
ОтветитьFor me Keyscape wins, thanks Jorg
ОтветитьKeyscape and grandeur kills every other vst and the real one is the king
ОтветитьNice piano pice, i like it
ОтветитьThe real one.. Omg it's like black and white..
Ответитьwhat is the name of music?
ОтветитьOf all the plugins... the Grandeur sounded the fullest.
ОтветитьReal Grand Piano wildly the best.
ОтветитьThe Grandeur surprised me. Sounds very good. Keyscape too.
ОтветитьQL and Keyescape for me (and of course the real one at the ending). Great playing btw =)
ОтветитьEW-QL and Keyscape are very nice👍
ОтветитьI think the real one sounds the worst 🤡
ОтветитьYou can hear Keyscape on Someone You Loved - Peter Capaldi. That says a lot.
Ответитьkeys
ОтветитьVery nice playing and thank you for comparing them with the real piano. May I ask, what were your gain settings for the mic preamps of your RME interface? I have the UCX, but it feels like my recordings aren't as clean as this. Thanks in advance.
ОтветитьThe Grandeur and Keyscape
ОтветитьVery nice! I used the video for a blind test and my favorite was the Grandeur, followed by the acoustic one. I'm very happy now, thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьHans Zimmer piano is so fake
