Gloria E Couch. May God care for her as she did for us
ОтветитьMy brothers name is Cody, he's a little brother to me. We are from Magoffin county and when our grandmother died, we lost both our Parents. This is exactly what I needed 4 years to the day of her passing. I know she is so proud of who we became.
ОтветитьMy dear friend Jamie Leigh from Front Royal VA passed a few days ago, and I just now discovered this song ❤.
(She must want us to play it at her memorial)

ОтветитьI live in Dorron, KY. My daughter & son in law, Ashley & Brandon Woods live in Virgie I believe Tyler went to school with them. Many people have funerals in Virgie, so this song holds special meaning to our mountain families. Thank you Tyler, such a beautiful song for our little "town". We're very proud of you!

ОтветитьThis song always makes me think of my grandma. Such a powerful song
ОтветитьDiscovered this song a few months before my mom passed. Loved listening every few days. After she was gone it hurt to bad to listen for a while. Blubbered while driving. Six months or so now and it still makes me tear up. Lump in throat.
ОтветитьI had a moment to myself with this song on the way home from my mamaw's wake.
Made me smile through the tears. Appreciate you boss

ОтветитьBack before these calloused hands did all this work
We used to sit up at the flats
Acting like we'd live forever
Gettin' high and skippin' class
I reckon we were heathens
But in her eyes we were saints
Now you're calling all the boys home
Cuz heaven's angels carried her away
So I will follow you to Virgie
Although it hurts me so
To lay to rest this mountain beauty
That the Lord's called home
And I can see her up in glory
I can see her in through pines
Back when all us boys were tryin'
To make sense of all these strings
I can see her in the corner
Singin' along to all our crazy dreams
So I will follow you to Virgie
Although it hurts me so
To lay to rest this mountain beauty
That the Lord's called home
And I can see her up in glory
I can see her through the pines
And I will follow you to Virgie
Cuz that's what us boys are for
To help you out when you get weary
And you can't go no more
Can't you see her up there, Cody?
I can see her through the pines
Saying boys be good
I really miss you, Grandma. More than you will ever know🥺

ОтветитьWe played this at my grandmas funeral this past Friday and this song literally describes her in every way. She loved us all and we were all a bunch of little shits but she looked at us like we good boys and she always told us to be good. She told me every night before I went to work to be good lol. I’m going to miss her and hopefully some day I’ll see her again

I lost my great aunt today. This song reminds me so much of her. She loved us all so much. She was a true Appalachian Mountain Beauty. She was sick for some time, I had a lot of signs lately that it was coming. This song has played on my Spotify a lot lately and I think it was her way of saying goodbye. I live thousands of miles from home now, so music connects me to my home a lot.
ОтветитьTell your mom you love her
ОтветитьOne of the best guitar performances I’ve ever heard love this song
