how do I hit max res for all resistance?

at the time of this comment those special fusings are 44 chaos per. if it takes 4 on average then you need 176 chaos and that is about what a divine is worth. as you know the 6L's are about a divine right now. this is not including the other costs.

best bet is not to use the special fusing method

Who doesn't have a 6 link by white maps? Just buy the damn thing from the trade house at week two. They will be dirty cheap by then

in 600 hours of gameplay i never got a TABULA !

I never felt quitting the game back in 2015 because I couldn't hit a 6-link. The game was not balance towards mandatory 6-link skills. 6-link back in 2014 was a Luxury nobody needed.
Nowadays I would understand. The game is already balanced towards mandatory usage of 6-link in order to be able to play the End-game.
I played from 2014 to 2016 and I never felt I need a 6-link. I was doing all content including Atziri which was the hardest boss in the game at that time with a 5-link.
The only content that 6-link was kind of important to have was Uber Atziri when it came out - this content was pretty much for Min-maxed characters straight up.

top tip, if you get the right Einhar beast early in the campaign for "create a unique armour" ( Farric Ursa ) one of the only things it can drop at that level is a tabula! I remember my second ever league when I was a noob I was really confused and I got 2 Tabs from Einhar by act 4.

Buy one off trade and use an essence on it, BAM 6 link with descent stats. Until you get something better.

It's not an average of 4, unless failure doesn't remove a socket or link. If you start off with a 4, the expected number of attempts to get to 6 is around 22. If you start over when you go to 3, it's 6, but that reset comes at a cost.

corrupted bases are really good, if you can get decent stats, can carry to endgame body armor. FOr HC the defences is kind of mandatory over a tabula (going 5l better) most builds can have a range of usable covers with not to big loss of dps (5-10%)

I'm not new, but I'm still very much a beginner in this game and getting a 6L that I want is the most frustrating part of this game. I really hope POE2 fixes linking.

So as a relatively new player I can’t even comprehend why they think it a good idea to make the player base spend substantial time and resources just to fully try a skill with its support gems. There is enough complexity and chase grind mechanics in this game to ever even count. So why does rolling for 6 links even exist anymore. Sockets should just be linked by default.

Early on it is probably good idea to get the corrupted rare strongboxes atlas passive since it is quite effortless to path to. Corrupted items have higher chance of dropping higher linked on average, unless they changed that.
In Delirium (or was it Ritual) I got my first six-links from Temple with corrupting tempest.

A new Life Mastery is "15 % increased maximum Life if there are no Life Modifiers on Equipped Body Armour" aka f̵l̵a̵t̵ 15 % increased max Life with Tabu

100 ilvl Astral Plate with Crusader influence!
Very handy if you plan on using an explode chest in your build as the cards aren't super expensive and it comes with the influence you need!

i tend to focus on getting geomancer incubators ASAP - don't spend too much time worrying about getting a tabula in acts, as a 4 link is more than sufficient most times.

I like the tip about using menagerie recipe and then using tainted currency. You made it look so easy to 6L something without risking a brick. I wish the atlas passive nodes for beyond were better though because on ssf it might be while before you get 10 (or however many) tainted fusings.

Do you have any tips on chancing? Is it as simple as force the loot filter to not hide that base, collect a bunch, then use chances on them? I don't know how to reset merchant inventories which is the only other way I can think to get white bases.

Does this work well for ruthless ssf hardcore?

There use to be a time where you could unlink your 6L item with an orb of fusing.

1 of the best tricks ive found (especially for SSF) run single sacrafice frag's in the map device the mobs can drop a 6l! and its not even that uncommon, only downside, corrupt.

The last league was the first time I have ever 6L something myself. I was trying to 5L Hyrri's Ire but it 6L after around 10 fusing lol.

How about opening a random level 68 Vaal side area (by Vaal fragment) to farm 6L? is it worthy?

The Tainted Orb of Fusing trick, does it work similar to the regular one? If not, does the regular one have a similar mechanic?

I tried to get a cherrubim to 6 sockets, spent 100c on jeweller's orb. didnt got it =(
