Fundamental misunderstanding of how NI works... you're paying for the dependents in society NOW and getting credit to have others to pay for you later... It isn't infrastructure investment - that comes from taxation... not national insurance.

The longer people work, the better. Why would you not want to incentivise an extended work-life? It keeps people healthier and occupied for longer, meaning less burden on families and the NHS.

Higher tax threshold of 20,000 would help so many working class families.

Forget tax breaks - abolish all taxes and replace them with voluntary subcriptions to service providers, crowdfunding in real time for politicians' pet projects, and a sales tax on affluent non-essentials excluding things like water, whole foods, fuel and energy, rent/mortgage payments on a main residence, public transport and a single private vehcile, school costs, etc.

You pay National insurance till you die, because that service is available to you.................. Until you die.

Because we have the lowest pension in Europe if you have paid your taxes and national insurance for 51 years why should I still have to continue to pay after I retire. Try getting the money from the tax avoiding offshore bank account rich first.
