Great tent, but the clips on the previous version are far superior to the sleeves in the newest iteration. For ease of use and speed of setup then clips win hands down, they are also much easier if you have cold/wet hands - the sleeves are a total faff, also you need more space around you to actually set the tent up. All the new features are great, but the sleeves suck.
Ответитьhow does it go in severe wind and rain? I mean thats all that really matters
ОтветитьHow do you attach the footprint? I can't seem to find a video on this
ОтветитьGreat tent. I purchased the tent late 2022 and used it in Arizona in January 2023 in several of the wilderness areas and it was bomb proof even in the rain and snow storms. It performed as well as my KUIU Storm Star tent that I've had for many years. I'm very happy with it!
ОтветитьPlease do a video of storm star vs mountain star side by side comparison
ОтветитьI still have my kuiu 2p tent from 2012 - been using it every season. From Wyoming for Elk, to Utah Mule Deer. To using it in Texas on a lease for whitetail. Other than some sap spots I can’t get out the things been rocking steady ever since purchase. I have both carbon fiber and Easton Aluminum. I’m super hard on my stuff so for this to have lasted w/out nylon stretching or runs in webbing. It’s been incredible. I’ve used mine even when a trailers been avail to sleep in. Cause I love my tent. Oh and I use the footprint too. Things been amazing 👍🏼
ОтветитьLink to buy would be great
ОтветитьI own both models, my older model is way easier and quicker to setup on the mountain with the outer clips for the poles vs the slide through. I feel the slide through pole style is a little frustrating. Maybe I just need to use it more ? Would like to see these tents go back to the clip style with the newer features.
ОтветитьTo, KUIU, potential purchasers, fans, and skeptics, I purchased this tent in March (received newest version), set up right away (after I had received the carbon poles they initially forgot to add to the order), and sleep-tested on August 5th, 2022. I tested it in the path of four sprinkler heads for 10 minutes and slept in it for approximately five hours (one adult and one toddler). I’ve always considered two-person tents to be made for hobbits, so I’m going to skip size comments. For me, this is a one-person tent while in the field.
Cons (or things with room for improvement) I've found so far and not in any particular order:
I'd like to see it on a wind test. Like the previous model
ОтветитьWould love to see it packed up next to a Nalgene bottle
ОтветитьLove it!!
ОтветитьThis is awesome
ОтветитьStorm Star update…?
ОтветитьIs the mesh better?
ОтветитьLove it!
ОтветитьAmazing tent!
