so, where did the "bacteria" come from? that's not evolution, you need to show us how a proper experiment, you can't take an already existing bacteria and proof evolution, NOT how it works sorry, you need to CREATE bacteria in the first place, and first of all, you need to create the first and first thing ever created to give birth to all things that we see, that's evolution, what you have done is getting credits for something with something you have NOT created, if you want to proof that you composed a song from scratch, you need to create even the most basic element in that song, you just took the beat and the drums from Eminem songs and imported into your one, and you say you created a song, RIDICULOUS!
ОтветитьE. Coli can already break down citrate, this doesn't prove evolution.
ОтветитьWait, 42 days to fill the universe? Sounds like someone’s forgetting the laws of physics.
ОтветитьEnough, I want the Kure Clan or the Hanma Family to be a real thing, in at least 3000 years from now
ОтветитьAyo, is no one gonna mention that scrub daddy in your sink?
ОтветитьHow do we know the genetic information to achieve the resistance wasn't already present in the bacteria?
ОтветитьI hope this bacteria doesn’t get leaked and become widespread and then turned into propaganda material for other countries.
ОтветитьI saw an article in local newspaper (OC Register) 10+ years ago that described similar experiment ongoing since the 1950s. The bacteria were subject to various conditions and adapted accordingly. In all, the generations of bacteria equated to 80,000,000 years of comparable human evolution. The bacteria were still producing...bacteria! Everything reproduces according to its own kind and seed. Evolution taught that teaches us bacteria were our ancestors is not supported by the facts, as shown by these experiments.
ОтветитьI am very frustrated with this video. I expected to see bacteria changing species just like it happened with humans, didn't I? But what I saw was a tremendous waste of time: Bacteria come in and bacteria go out, nothing more than that. This made me think that there seem to be two concepts of evolution. The first is the one that talks about species change and whenever it is talked about, it is talking about the common ancestors of humans. The other is used in situations like this one where there is no species change, but only adaptations and mutations. The curious thing is that there are always examples for the second, but never examples for the first. Why is that?
ОтветитьIs this not humanity
ОтветитьThis video had me thinking about the book Hail Mary by Andy Weir almost the whole time.
ОтветитьW00t w00t, Michigan in the hizzouse. You should have stopped by my camnabis facility and grabbed some heady rosin, boi.
ОтветитьBut why are they doing these experiments
ОтветитьCorrect me if I'm wrong but you started off with bacteria in the most perfect environment and you still have bacteria after all this time?
ОтветитьProf. Lenski is so cool. Screw Bounty
ОтветитьThe conclusion is that they are still bacteria after 8 billion mutations. Maybe one day they will find a bananna in the test tube.
ОтветитьI just got over ETEC e. coli, after almost three weeks of fighting it. Watching the lab tech transfer the cells without gloves made me so nervous. A horrible experience that I hope you don't have to go through.
ОтветитьThis is a great reference video. I can't believe how many times I've shared a bounty ad.
Ответитьok i need to stop looking at the “newest” section of this video. there are so many comments from internet “experts” with a phd in literally every field imaginable saying that evolution is not evolution, but adaptation/god/*insert nonsense here*
the last thing i need to do is start to believe that evolution is fake because a week old account named @user-6382hfiw62 said so 738194882 times
Maybe one of the bacterias developed a sense of awareness that they are confined and wanted freedom.
(*Rumbling theme intensifies in bg*)
TATAKAE!!!
42 huh?
ОтветитьEvolution is fake
ОтветитьAre all the petri dishes the same size? I'm curious if the size could/would change the outcome of the evolution
Ответить“Even on weekends” sounds a lot like underpaid PhD students are doing the job. I might be wrong but I’ve seen this just too many times.
ОтветитьPlot twist… those weren’t “finger marks.” 😏
Ответить5 years later: the bacteria learn to eat through glass and take over the planet, getting into the ocean eventually and reproducing so much everything in the ocean will be taken over by these bacteria.
ОтветитьUpdate: the ecoli bacteria have evolved further and are now suing the professor :D
ОтветитьThat’s adaptation not evolution.
ОтветитьHere from Richard Dawkins book, The Greatest Show on earth.
ОтветитьGenetic algorithm
Ответитьevolution is real, but is doesn't explain life and different kinds. different species. not at all. it is an explanation for adaption. like breeding. you can't breed a cat, out of a dog. there is not a single fossil that shows a between species, between 2 kinds. even Darwin himself was sceptical because of that.
ОтветитьThis has nothing to do with evolution and represents none of the physical functions taking place.
ОтветитьI absolutely loved this video
ОтветитьSo the very first strain was given the antibiotic, and some of the bacteria was resistant and lived… that’s not evolution. They already had the code to resist, they didn’t decide to rewrite their own genetic code on the spot.
ОтветитьI’ve been studying the hydroplate theory which is a creationist theory of how the world was during the time before the flood. Not only is there compelling evidence for the flood that even compliment parts of evolution (like mutation), but it also has a much better explanation for things like fossil fuels, the “golden age” referenced in countless ancient cultures, layers in the earth, how mountains formed, and how even dinosaurs were able to get so big. It’s a theory that compliments science, creation, and history all in one. Thousands of studies from hundreds of researchers have backed it. There’s a book called ‘In the Beginning’ that’s pretty thick with evidence. It’s definitely worth the google search assuming you get past National Geographic. There’s quite a bit of videos and debates you can watch as well. On top of the thousands of stories of people passing and what they saw on the other side. But the creationists don’t have as many holes in their theory as the Big Bang does. And I’ve come to find creation is the most logical conclusion especially because the Bible has already proven about 80% of its prophecies to be true by the 2000s. I would at least look up the hydroplate theory, or evidence of the flood. Especially to those questioning.
Ответитьnice to know somewhere someone is trying to make super e-coli, and no one is concerned in the slightest
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьThis is one of the coolest things ive ever seen
Ответить42, Douglas Adams was right.
ОтветитьExcellent video to show HS student on natural selection. The professor is Richard Lenski, Hannah Distinguished Professor at Michigan State University. He has a great website on this topic and others along with videos.
ОтветитьAs an Ohioan I have to boo ichigan
ОтветитьBut they are still bacteria, when they become something else, post an update.
ОтветитьSoon those bacterias will start time travel
ОтветитьThat’s natural selection. When they randomly become multicellular let me know.
ОтветитьI dont see monkeys running around here
No evolution lol 😆
Bounty Sales 📈📈
Ответить74500 generations and it’s still E. Coli. Where is the evolution?
ОтветитьL sponsorship
