If you notice after the edit (after John threw up) He seemed to have sobered up a bit for the rest of the interview, He was definitely much more coherent

John said he did it because he was in pain, Yoko was already on it before John when she was in Paris and it didn’t make her feel sick she said it was a beautiful feeling, and she showed John how to take it without injecting it, John’s life was never the same again after he met Yoko
All of them admitted they did LSD Cocaine, uppers for concerts, downer to sleep, not pointing the finger at John taking He was and still is my idol I love him, but it’s true his brain was fried the beginning of him and Yoko was the end of John Lennon, soulmates? She let him date May Pang in 1973 knowing he would eventually get back together with her, she followed him to L.A, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but she wasn’t good for John, he always looked so weak and pale and down with her beside him and looked older than his years he is only 29/30 in this and he looks so unwell, someone should have had the balls to take care of him, she was never gonna fix him
Cynthia loved him and said herself in the Netflix documentary Love is all you need, she blames Yoko on the Beatles breaking up and the strain she had on them, and she also said there was no talking to John he so messed up on drugs at the time of their break up

The interviewer mentioned the revolution and how it’s going? How naive. At least Lennon knew he himself was rich and connected and he didn’t really believe in the pie in the sky “revolution” unlike the idiot that is trying to hard to act cool by keep talking about how the year 1969 is when it’s happening. No wonder John is bored.

As an x heroin addict crackhead and amphetamine user, me and my wife had a problem and we did become co-dependent and that's what I'm looking at in this video they are high out of their mind and she keeps scratching, and yes you light up one cigarette after another, it's not easy I tried recording many times, in that state it's not easy and people can tell, and I 8 years clean and sober this is pretty sad man, but they did the best they could you can't really help somebody unless they want to help themselves it's a good interview but you can definitely see it, at least they cleaned up his act before he was killed he did a great job on his last album too very great work.

John's drug problem was the big unspoken part of Get Back. It was pretty clear in the first episode that he was completely out-of-it most of the time during the Twickenham days. But Peter Jackson chose not to really discuss the elephant in the room. I hope that Lewisohn has the balls to look at it in an honest way. Ditto John's huge LSD consumption during 66-67. It is an important part of The Beatles story.

what the hell is that? who named it that? the person or people who did showed little moral tact about what it is to use terrible drugs, that's for sure.

I'd even argue that whoever named it so had little moral tact at all while they were doing it.

there's nothing clever about cruelty. it's just cruelty. and the clever people naming those cruelties aren't ultimately clever, they simply seem cruel.

Didn't Lennon essentially abandon his son Julian? It was so bad that "Hey Jude" was written by Paul as a token Julian faced for being abandoned. Sick. Lennon was a horrible person.

Yoko, who "didn't know" who the Beatles were, (I mean, what artist in her right mind could possibly know who the Beatles were) married a Beatle, and now's a music expert....and all the professional interviewers go along with the gag that she's an expert. Hubris. She reminds me of Pinocchio, who just because Geppetto made him, now thinks he's a boy.

Yoko is such a bum, talking and acting like she's at the same level of skill and importance as John. NO ONE cares about her at all. She's literally only ever acknowledged because she was physically tied to John at all times. You think anyone cares about her poorly made fucking films, her basic and stupid art, or her completely abhorrent and unbearable singing? No, literally no one cares at all, and no one pretends to either. She wins because she got her name stuck in everyone's head because she fucked up one if the greatest musicians of all time, and now she has all of his money, but literally not a single person cares about her or likes her. She's an untalented narcissist who had no sense of reality and ruined literally everything she touched with her selfish and annoying behavior. And the thing is, she acknowledges it and doesn't even care. Maybe she denies it to herself, but to the public she either ignores it or accepts that as her role as she mocks everyone. I have to say though, this is easily one of the LEAST weird interviews with yoko that I've ever seen.... it's fantastic really, she's extremely literate here, together, collected, and interesting, and honest, and not trying to be an artist. where as so often in interviews with john at her side she was trying to be odd and creative and unique, and imho it often took away from the impression she gave to people who don't really understand her.

She did a great interview here. Worth watching for that. John is out of his gourd though

Does this mean that for the whole Get Back sessions (or Let It Be sessions if you want), John was strung out..? He seems so mellow here and he behaves a lot more energetic in Get Back. Was he only high some times then? Can you be a heroin addict and not do it for a whole day?

So it's sad when you're rich and famous but creepy and scummy when you aren't ? Way to go society.

This is so sad to watch. Drug dependency is ugly, scary and dangerous. Luckily the managed to quit before getting too hooked.

Yeah this was a bad idea. They think they are firing on all cylinders and being very articulate. But in reality they are playing at 33 instead of 45 on the record player. This is why you need someone who got a clear head to tell you that your all messed up and should definitely NOT do this interview. Unless you want to advertise your drug problem to the world

I have to say seeing John smacked out on opiates is pretty bizarre being an addict also not know John ever really used H or morphine but I heard he used it cope with the stress or fame and stress which makes sense as he was J Lennon a beatle but I'm glad to he only ever reportedly snorted heroin to use and didn't inject it so he lasted some years longer but chose to gave up cold turkey. Makes me wanna wonder what I'm doing for my addiction
