I won't mention the putting filler directly over rust because it seems many other people have done that in the comments already but man you wasted a lot of uneccessary time and energy going from black to black. If you have peeling clear coat you don't need to sand back the entire car like that. Just feather out the peeling areas, then fine sand the entire car. You don't need to sand completely through the clear coat over the whole car. Then once you've done that just blend black paint over the previously peel areas and then clear the car.
Also... why did you not clear coat the car?
Next video just be sure to not make the music so goddamn loud
ОтветитьNice job
ОтветитьNice video
ОтветитьHe didn’t prime the cah!
Ответитьthanks, helped me tremendesly, I"ll bring my car to the shop...
ОтветитьLooks pretty good but could have used another coat of two of clear coat for a higher gloss shine.
ОтветитьMusic was such crap and loud. No idea if you were doing a good job.
ОтветитьI love this song havent heard it years until now
ОтветитьCan't believe he didn't prime and block after sanding. Too many missteps here for a good job.
ОтветитьGood job
ОтветитьLooks great bro!
ОтветитьStep 1 get a garage okay got it
ОтветитьYou actually did a really good job. 😮 I wish you can do my car. My car is red though.
Ответитьcould probably started with 200 0r 320 grit to scuff the suface
ОтветитьNice f’ing job
ОтветитьI know how to repair rust and dings. but i have never thought about painting my entire car body at home. You are amazing.
Ответить$100 to anyone who can guess how many times he says “um”
ОтветитьSkips some steps at the end. I mean after painting its not finished yet as you need to do sand it again and buff it and put clear coat. What's the point of doing this video if you dont post or do the whole steps or become lazy at the end
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьI want to repaint my wife’s 2002 jeep, this has given me the confidence that it’s not so bad. I’d probably get a power tool to do the sanding though lol
ОтветитьThank you for keeping it simple
ОтветитьAnd the cost of repair is?
ОтветитьWOW!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьOn the hood you still see the paint is not perfectly even.. i have this problem with my car too… how can you avoid this?
Not saying your car looks bad-you did a great job!
Next time don’t be sorry bro be amazing 🏋️♀️ great vid
Ответить80 grit , dude probably sanded off 1kg of metal
ОтветитьNice job. Good video but you could lose all the music.
ОтветитьAnd that’s why you wax your vehicles no matter if you want to or not, it’s worth it trust
ОтветитьAll these Hondas driving around with peeling clear coat. Yikes. At least half of the ones I see on the road look like this. They should have recalled the paint
ОтветитьI just need the garage but other than that i think i can do it. For that price of all the materials i think its totally worth it. The elbow grease seems to be the biggest cost but dedication can pay that off.
ОтветитьGood job on the video . The audio music is annoying. Try no music. Works better>
Ответитьthis aint a diy, this a pro paint job at home........................we dont have any of the thing u used to paint the car, not even a garage
ОтветитьGreat video. Worst music I have ever tolerated. Makes the video almost unwatchable.
ОтветитьThanks for doing the research and simplistic video, Nolan! I figured it wasn't rocket surgery and don't have $1000+ to polish a turd with 180,000 miles, rust, cracking clear coat, and shoddy interior. Much appreciated! 👍
Ответитьgreat video ~ what size compressor do you have ? do you have a video on your set up? thanks
ОтветитьHeisenberg and Pinkman?
ОтветитьAnother tip, before you paint and after you wash it. Wet a lint free rag with mineral spirits or acetone to wipe down the whole car. Removes any grease and will prevent imperfections in your paint. Then tack when dry. Also skim coat helps your Bondo imperfections. We apply a layer over Bondo to really get it perfect. Spray down black paint to see any low or high spots. If you get orange peel in some spots you can try to wet sand it out with super fine grit then buff it (but don't go too crazy or you'll have to spray that area again). You get that wavy orange peel because the surface wasn't prepped clean
ОтветитьI drive a ‘96 Suzuki Cappuccino with sun damage on the roof similar to your before pictures. Thanks for giving me the confidence to try it out for myself.
ОтветитьLOGAN❤😂
ОтветитьI'm so down to do so many things but I hate living in a freaking apartment that only gives me a parking space far away at a parking lot :/ My dream is to one day own a garage at my home
Ответитьhow long did this take to do
Ответитьwould have been better without the music, that was loud. but when you talked volume all the way i could barely hear you. job looks good. did the 1 gallon do the whole car???
ОтветитьPretty good! I'm impressed. Love how your video isn't crazy long, and you keepmit interesting
Ответитьyou wiped the paint off with a cloth towel and mixed the paint? hopefully it dont show up in you finish
ОтветитьYou did such a good job! This is just how I was thinking it could be.😀 I am really encouraged to do my own car! Wish me luck🤩
ОтветитьIf only you used tire shine and made those look cleaned up too
Ответить
