In our latest Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim video we delve into the 1st Era!
Dragonbreaks: https://youtu.be/0oiUwjtT5FE

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fifth main installment in The Elder Scrolls series, following The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11, 2011.

The game's main story revolves around the player character and their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. The videogame is set two hundred years after the events of Oblivion, and takes place in the fictional province of Skyrim. Over the course of the game, the player completes quests and develops the character by improving skills. The game continues the open world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.

Every time you mention 'Hoeg Mer-Killer' in any video, I always hear it as Herg Merkula, and never once questioned it 😅🤣

the sheer amount of years in this era makes it really interesting, along with the rise of three human empires and all of the stuff you could possibly need in a fantasy series. the first era alone can make it interesting, yet alone all of the other eras before and after this one.

the dragonbreak is sort of unfortunate as it kind of just lets them skip a thousand years of basically nothing, but there are still at least 1900 years of stuff in it, which is still plenty longer than the 2nd, 3rd and fourth eras. the nordic empire then not long after the alessian empire kicked off the dominance of man which would last for a long time. the continent of yokuda was unfortunately destroyed (or mostly destroyed) because some guys were losing a battle and did it out of pettiness if nothing else, which isn't totally unlike man to do such a thing but I would of liked to know more about big yokuda.

then not to mention possibly the best human empire of all of elder scrolls: the reman empire. they extended far beyond what the alessian empire did, didn't cheat like the septim empire and managed to fight three living gods to a standstill even if it cost the empire a lot. it's also a shame that the empire fell after two centuries which would be an interesting alternate history is to see what happens if the reman empire continued.

there are many other things I failed to mention but hey I don't want to be here forever.

Would be great of they Did the Elders scrolls online based on the First Era as you play ether the Story arc of the Ayleids and the Dwemers and the akaviri lasty. With races magic unique to that Era. Especially playing say the Dwemer race using I don't know there Technology's and more.

The most annoying thing about tes to me is that cities and countries remain static for a period of time nearly twice as long as today was to the building of the Egyptian pyramids, despite near constant wars, invasions, occupations, cultural and demographic changes, and straight up genocides.
Also, most major changes that have happened occurred incredibly early, and in books rather than in game.

I'm guessing there's few specific dates for the dragon war, rise and fall of the dragon cult and the war between the nords and snow elves, as the first time either the dragon cult or the snow elves are mentioned in this video they're both already on their last legs.

Maybe I am kind of late to the party, but I highly doubt there was a Battle of Red Mountain before 1E 700 because of the simple fact that the Nords couldn't even dare touch Vvardenfell with the Dwarven defenses there. It makes absolutely zero sense for a battle of Red Mountain in the 1E 416 to exist and be a thing.

Jurgen Windcalled most likely created the Way of the Voice when Shor was killed again at Red Mountain 1E 700 and the combined army of Nords, Orcs and Khajiit was decimated.

"Decimated half the population of the Iliac Bay..." So they pay 5% of their population? Don't get me wrong, that sucks, but that hardly sounds that bad. (decimated means to lose one in ten)

This brings me another question why are there no half-elf characters were half work characters in Skyrim at all. Even though the Britain's are supposedly a blend of elf and human there's no characters in Skyrim that are half health none or half orc of some sort. ? That really doesn't make sense even though you see redguard and Nord married an elf and Nord married there's no half of anything ?

I've done the quest for the amulet and it's kind of a joke it's not nearly as powerful as the story suggested is and it sure doesn't seem powerful enough to cause his sons to kill him for it so either there was a lot more going on in the story than just the amulet or the one in the game is only a shadow of the original either it lost a lot of power or it's a replica of the original.

I don't think you will read that after 4 years, but fck it. I liked the Video. Have you ever thought about putting the map of Tamriel in the Video and mark where the shit happend? For me it would rel helpful, since it a lot to comprehend. It would make it easier to follow some "jumps" and to get the connection between the events. ^^
