This video call is the worst and so creepy. Too much is going on. No way has Amazon been trying to help, they're trying to get as much personal data as possible. If they were trying to help to prevent excessive documentation steps they would have got rid of the excessive documentation steps. Such a drag. They should outline all of the steps beforehand. Also someone said this call is just gor professional sellers but I'm setting up as an individual.

this is a stupid process and a very unsafe one...I'm no longer on Amazon...go to ebay, shopify or etsy.

Hi I'm trying to open a seller account for the 1st time and in stuck at ID verification step. They only let me pick SCHEDULE VIDEO CALL. The other option is INSTANT VIDEO CALL but its being blocked 🚫 and I cannot choose that option. So when I clicked next then there is no date to pick and a message says PLEASE TRY AGAIN IN 2 TO 3 DAYS. WE REGRET FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. How do I proceed??? I just want to start selling. Thanks

are they required to let you hold your ID up so they take you a picture with the ID during the seller varification process?

My issue is bank statement. I went onto online banking and downloaded my statement and sent that.
But they are asking about original during appointment, the PDF is the original, what do i do? I have found another statement for a loan i have with the same bank, but name and address is same but account umber would be different, but i dont want to use that if i can avoid it.
I have my drivers licence though.

Nothing to worry about, just go through instructions properly before uploading the documents and it will only take 5 minutes to complete it if everything is fine or else you can do changes during video verification also if u have documents ready, otherwise you may have to reschedule...

Video chat is simply an ID verification method. It's the only current option for a new account set up in most states. The rep asked ZERO questions, except what i had already provided when I signed up initially. Asked me to hold my driver's license up to the camera about 5 times, then it was done. It's not an interview... lol
