Apple User Switches to Galaxy Z Fold 6 Months Later Update

I got a z fold 5 and waiting on my 16 pro max to replace my current iPhone. Honestly I feel like galaxy phones got fun features, but iPhone is reliable for what it does right like face recognition, smoothness with apps, copying codes and stuff when they come from text. It’s the simple things you’ll see convenient with iPhone you don’t get with Samsung. At least that’s my experience. Apps like twitter got a slight delay when posting and you can’t swipe back like iPhone. You gotta do it from the edge of the screen. Not a big deal, but again that’s the things you’ll notice. I love my z fold though. It’s like having a tablet on hand. I don’t like how i miss so many messages on the z fold. iPhone shows notifications on the screen when locked. Z fold stays dark. You gotta go check for them. Enough of my rambling. Hope this helps.

I’ve been Samsung since the Galaxy 2, had a couple of hits at the iPhone but hate the OS, same as the OS for the iPod. Finally had a hit at the Fold 6 even though it still had obvious problems. Do I regret my decision? Absolutely not. For me there is things that need to be fixed but the zFold 6 is Sweet!

Have you tried any stock trading apps and boards? Any financial or business apps? Like you said if their specific made for it.

I have iPhone 15PM, iPad and Watch Ultra. So living in Apple ecosystem. But I am from Europe, it is not difficult to switch, because we all use WhatsApp anyway. Main reason for me to switch is: I am bored with iPhone. And I am not the only one. Lot of my friends have the same problem. Apple needs to innovate, otherwise will loose customers.

It's an android and there are compromises? Dude, you compromise when you use IOS. Android is a free source and there are NO compromises

Am i the only one who likes the narrow screen? It's perfect for one hand operation and then when i want to really dive into something i just open the phone. Best of both worlds imo

I switched from Apple ( iPhone 13 Pro Max ), didn't want to purchase the same phone again.

Now I have the Z Fold 5, you couldn't pay me to go back to Apple ever again.

There are 3 things that would stop me from buying a fold from any brand. These could be fixed in the future but for now those things are:
1) Battery life. Big screen + small battery = poor battery life
2) Worse cameras. Most foldables do not have flagship cameras.
3) Durability. A screen that folds and a hinge that can get dust and grit inside it does not sound like a smart device to carry in my pocket all day every day.

I keep hearing people saying "You can take selfies with the main cameras". You can do that with any phone and also if you do it often enough you get pretty good as aiming the camera to get yourself and any friends/GF etc in the shot with you. I do it all the time and just use the volume button to snap the image. I wouldn't say that having a screen to be able to see yourself while you take selfies is a selling point unless you are one of those teenage girls who take 72+ selfies a day with their tongue poking out etc.

I think customisation is something that only some people really care about. I can see why artsy fartsy people like it but personally I'm a structural engineer and I have a "mathematical logical intelligence" (<- technical term for my personality type) and I don't really care about custom icons. I would find it annoying because I know what all of my icons look like already so why would I want to change them? I do change my background from time to time but honestly I really like the design of the icons in iOS so I am perfectly happy to keep them the way they are and I actually prefer it that way.

Apple users need to know that Samsung makes the camera that the iPhone uses. Samsung also makes the chips for Apple so to compare them is really a waste. I use Apple products but when it comes to iPhone, Apple is straight up DISRESPECTFUL. To keep recycling the same phone is effed up. The iPhone 16 is the iPhone 10 and the 16 Pro /Pro Max is the 13, 14 and 15 Pro. Apple should be ashamed of themselves.

I was an Iphone user who switched to the ZFold 5....looking forward to upgrading to the Fold6 Ultra when it comes out....I love the Folds

I switched from Apple to Samsung galaxy s24 ultra and the Ultra is my new ATF all time favorite. I had seen the other Uktras over the years but something about this one caught my intert. I won't be going back anytime soon even my dislike of Android.

People have been brainwashed over decades, making them think that Iphone are the best phones its not their fault 😂 I started with an IPhone 4 (2010) the second I touched a samsung phone never went back to Iphones. Now it's been 11 years solid with samsung, currently have the Z Fold 6 😎

The only thing that i miss ditching iphone is "icloud" and its ability to sync every devices automatiaclly.

I have the fold 4. It was repaired through replacing the whole internals including hinge and inner display, but samsung messed up the repair. I sent it back but they said they found no issue. Now there's a whole dispute.

Samsung is awful with warranties

Jumped after iPhone 6S, waited for something interesting but nothing, went to Samsung note and never went back. Now on fold 6.

I love the Fold and like you find Clipboard so useful. I love the size of the Fold and can't see that I'd go back to Apple. Anyway love what you're doing.

The thinner front screen is brilliant. One hand usable. Then for two hands you open the phone to experience the reason to own the phone in the big screen

I’m stuck in Apples eco system but so tired of the lack of options and slow innovation. Want to switch to Samsung, their devices look very cool. Doing my research now to plan my transition. That watch looks way better than the Apple Watch.

hehe bro , did you just say z fold has a good quality Oled just like the iPhone ? well , its actuality iPhone's Oled are the one who is like the Samsung , not the other way around , because iPhone actually got their Oled from Samsung to begin with , so , Samsung's Oled is already the OG since the first galaxy , many years before iPhone lol

Fold screen has a hardware problem after a years use, Samsung refusing to repair under warranty due to a scratch on the outside.

I have IP 14 promax and zfold6, i told u once u hold fold6 you rarely using ypur iphone😂, the only things i like about the iphone, is the chipset for playing game, truely a beast and the camera too ofc
