Is using a seamoth as bait a good plan?

My first encounter with the devil:

Looking for cyclops fragments, kinda scared shitless because I kept hearing roars. Finally scanned the last engine fragment, and I look up to see a reaper roaring it's balls off. The thing threw my seamoth so high up it got glitched inside the invisible walla in the aurora forever. I don't get how people find ghost leviathan scarier than these things

I think the reason everyone fears the reaper is because of its randomness of appearance with lack of spawning knowledge the thing is actually very easy to outrun and it’s ai is stupid mostly I still fear the reaper knowing this nervous anytime I enter the crash zone or leave the grassy plateau

One way to get rid of them is to use a full charge of the rifle to stop it and drop about 20 orbs of gas quickly close of he's head hitbox (can be done by right click spamming) this will kill them really fast, I would recommend that after you drop all the spheres you give it a small shot to stop him again and charge another one so it doesn't go out of gas, and remember that the damage effect it stays for a few extra seconds after the gas disappears so if you see the gas gone and the Leviathan is still alive wait 5 seconds at last and dont worry so you did an extra charged shot so it will stay stuned while he dies by the gas.
And reapers do not respawn so you actually get rid of them forever, just dont make them go extint xd.

Also when I see a reaper I shiver like I got frostbite and flinch hard and I start sweating in fear😭 but luckily I almost got enough cyclops fragments 😀

If you have to go to the Auora or gun island, there’s a secret tab in the pause menu called “developer”. You can use it to teleport to the island or auora. After you finish what you needed to do, you can teleport to whatever biome you put your base in without having to encounter a reaper. But it’s considered cheating

I was just casually getting lithium in the mushroom forests and then a reaper popped out from nowhere and i haev been on the pause menu for the past 10 minutes scared for my life

I actually found out that if you go east from the lifepod, then go close to 400 meters you will find another reaper leviathan and im so scared rn bc i was just scanning stuff and i see some big ass thing go full speed to me. This prob happend to you as well...

I used to fear Reapers, now I only do when I'm with my Seamoth because I fear for its safety, otherwise the stasis knife combo can take care of it

leviathans ruin this game for me, theyre such bullshit, incredibly annoying to deal with and there are FAR too many of them

i have the equipment to kill it and i killed the ghost leviathan in the lost river BUT I AM WAY TOO SCARED OF THE REAPER

It ate my Seamoth at 26% health with 1st depth upgrade and storage as I was about to repair it.😭

Do they spawn after a certain like the ship blowing up or sunbeam because I went to island in creative and I went down and nothing was there i am playing switch virosn incase that has a Effect

imo they aren’t too bad if you are not in a vehicle but they are horrible if you’re in something like the cyclops because there’s not much you can do but run

Do you recommend the seamoth for this? And is there any other things I should do before trying to kill it?

I was heading off to a biome I know to get some silver and I saw a deep cave with a ghost Leviathan but it didn't see me
