Putting the music into grooves is quite complicated. For exemple, the bass frequencies are removed because they would make the grooves so big the needle would skip continually. Then the record player (the one you have at home) boosts back the bass frequencies so you can hear them. And that is just a part of it...

To me records seem like a futuristic technology. Stamping wave files on a big disc and then playing them with a needle while it spins. Yet it’s been around 100 years.

This material kindles deep intellectual curiosity. A book I read with related ideas was highly stimulating. "The Art of Meaningful Relationships in the 21st Century" by Leo Flint

Is the music stored on the sides of the groove or at the bottom of the groove? Or is the music recorded on the entire groove? Thanks for your video and hard work making vinyl records.

Imagine the years it took to first develop vinyl, the technology needed to even manufacture a single vinyl, just to play a Drake album.

Polyesterine records have no paper label, the text is pressed in the record and readable, because there is a layer of paint on the surface.
Would something like this be possible on PVC records?

It was a gap between the decision, that nobody wants records and the Renaissance of vinyl. So much people who had experience in the 1970's died, the equipment is vintage.
By the way, the CD was pushed by degrading the records, they were thinner, singles were made of brittle, cheap polystyrene, there was the attempt to imitate the CD sound, more treble, more distortion.
I hope, the quality level is like the 1970's.
One question, can you use the DMM technology, where the master record is done in copper, so there is no need for any coating?

There's a trap question, how many grooves has a record.
It's one groove per side - when the record follows the standard.
Because it's possible, that a record can contain multiple grooves on one side.
One example are miracle or surprise records or maybe a sports game, you have three or more grooves parallel and it's randomly, what groove you will hear.
Another example is a record for broadcast use, every song or jingle ends in a loop, you can't play the whole record side continuously, but this is intentional.
Number 3 is a stereo process, using two grooves and playing them parallel with a tonearm, what is equipped with 2 cartridges.
