This Map was so Scary They Had to Remove it From Phasmophobia

I fr remember the old layout and items from Markiplier's gameplay

Im sad finding out the removed this map. I started playing phas again after a couple of years and it was shocking seeing all the changes but i never realized that the maps would be different as well.

I do clearly remember all of this! and I think by this time the entrance of that asylum was easier to hide than now haha

They implemented the see through paramic before removing the map i believe.

I used to only do this map because there were no nightmare mode back then so the horror were to find the ghost room before the ghost hunts you. Love it & miss it. <3

this version of the game is way scarier than the new , why would they nerf the scare factor on a horror game

I’ve never played the old asylum but that new one that also has a satanic ritual room is absolutely scary and gruesome when you go in the basement. I feel like there needs to be more players for a map that big.

Really missing the old times were ghost can make footstep sounds without i have to wear this stupid tool. all i needed is a team that is able to stay quiet and good ears

This was actually so helpful. Because I first played the game during this update, and I am picking it back up a lil now and SO MUCH HAS CHANGED! So now I understand why my flashlight doesn't blink anymore when a hunt starts lmao... cuz that's how i use to tell when a hunt was over, now it's trickier.

It's funny, despite my anxiety issues making revs an absolute nightmare, often having made me immediately stop being in the house at 2/3 back in the day, I still miss it. I miss its old evidence and the whole 2/3 thing, and I miss having a king of the ghosts in a sense, and despite it making playing the game difficult for me I miss how scary revs were. The game has improved in many ways since those old days, but there are a lot of things I miss for sure.
Idk why, but having come back to the game with the progression update after a long break, something about losing the rev's old reputation makes me a little sad

I forgot how terrifying the heartbeat was...and the croaking. I watched one of Markiplier's Phasmophobia and he walked right into the ghost while it was doing a ghost event, and Lixian just had to add a spooky sound effect. Gave me a heart attack cause it was while ghost events were all the ghost appearing and just standing there croaking.

That instant thermometer is really nice, why did they change it ?
Also it would be nice to have a mobile sanity monitor, vr make a watch that tells you your sanity

I like the new map so much better, the old Asylum map design was just so bland.

I would much prefer this map over sunny meadows... So wish I could have played it.

I miss the old "possession" mechanic where a random copy of another player with greenish skin would spawn and wander as a ghost event. Those were the shit.

This all brought back old nostalgia for me, too. It was fun to watch this video for that. But guys, the current Phasmo is so much better. And the new Sunny Meadows is much better than the old Asylum. The yearning for this old stuff is pure nostalgia only. The old Asylum was way too big, and it made the game take too long with no action.

they could always just add workshop support n whatnot to restore this map n any others :P dunno why the devs dont want to

seeing the old stuff fills me with joy!! id love if they readded them in some way. Maybe make the asylum smaller and maybe even change what it is, for example a retirement home. and id love if the old lobby was a room in a house.

It was indeed a good map because of those long hallways, They should add it back and keep it together with sunny meadows

I miss being able to just straight up run away from ghosts down a long hallway. Unless it was a rev lol.

I remember playing in this map, the most painful experience I ever had (did in vr) I love it and miss it.

I think what they need to do with this map. Do a light face-lift, then redo the old contract system. Then add this map secretly to that board alone as "the old asylum." And have it exclusive to the reworked old map board. Heck, could get bonuses for taking a contract over setting one up.

Houses are boring, but asylum and prison are too big to actually work on, if it had at least a chance to block some places randomly, so it wasnt so big.. maybe an actual farm, not the house but farm with fields or smth, maybe motel or gas station.. Would be fun..

I have not played this but the vehicle looks objectively better in this.
