Seems like the 10 series cards have aged the best of any generation. Even the now 6+ year old 1060 can run many modern titles at 60 fps 1080p on medium. Definitely not something that could’ve been said before that.

Still rocking my 8700k with a GTX 1080 and just now this Black Friday i am looking for an upgrade but I dont know what yet ^^

Just got one last month! It is going to be in use for at least 9 years for me. Epic score for somone who usually gets away with a 760, I only edit 1080P videos. Gaming is an afterthought, Though I am trying to upgrade to an 8400 with TPM for windows 11.

I was thinking about investing into eGPU (with my Zenbook (2022) 14 OLED & Razer Core X base I've got cheap recently) and I didn't know which card (don't care about ray-tracing) I should buy - but after your video, I think I know now :)

My GTX 1080 is still keeping up with my 3440x1440 display. I'll be repurposing it once I upgrade next year. It's been a champ.

I had the aorus 1080 X 8g. Really good card. I would still be using it but my friend was going through a rough time, I gave it to him. I have an RTX 2060 now.

Testing Metro Exodus in that underground area is not representative of the overall performance since you get much better fps there due to fewer things being rendered.

Can i play with gtx 1080 Hell let loose in 4k ? I cant find anywhere tests from that.

I still have GTX 1080 since launch and wondering about replacing it with modern equivalent which would be RTX 3070Ti based on the chip size but may also wait for 4000 series. The 1080 still doing decent job.

Year in and year out the GTX 1080 continues to be a force in regards to 1080p graphic settings. Only RDR 2 seemed to give this card fits. I think there will be another two years of not worrying about running games with the GTX 1080 so long as you're happy with 1080p and no Ray Tracing.
