Did anyone notice that when k and the gnomes are huddled around the furnace the shadows given from the gnomes are child shaped instead of gnome shaped.... Idk maybe it's nothing🤷

What I find very interesting about these games is the way that the secret ending of the second reframes the entirety of the first.

Six went to the Maw intentionally. I personally think her goal was always to claim the Lady's power. I have a suspicion that she'll end up being the antagonist of the third game.

The name "Mono" is directly taken from the "monophobia", which is the fear of being alone or isolated with one's self. As well, in a twisted sense of irony, the reason Mono wears a paper bag over his head is because he's afraid of others seeing what his face looks like. So, for Mono to end up alone in the Signal Tower with eyes staring at his face at the conclusion of Little Nightmares II is just... heartbreaking.

I'm actually rather surprised TPT didn't include this in his video.

So much of the second game in particular reminds me of an old game called Ico that had a beautiful little pairing system with your companion where you could help each other through obstacles and around the areas, solving puzzles just like this game. I feel like the second game just oozes the same sort of vibe: beautiful, eerie, childlike essence yet facing such horrible fears and situations. 6 and Mono were all each other had, just like Iko and Yorda

Honestly little nightmares 2 is my favorite out of these games. I never finished it though (got stuck on the hospital level, it’s terrifying!!) but I watched a lot of play throughs of it before buying it myself just to see if I’d like it or not.

Theres actually been official podcasts following other kids stories that give a bit more lore of the world. Apparantly conecting some dots, the little nightmares world is a place that exists seperate to our own. Children across the waking world can visit this place somehow subconsciously, which could explain alot of childrens size differences in the little nightmares world. A once kind doctor abuses a little girl to try and learn more of this place, apparantly twisted by nightmares

Growing up is never easy.

I could never think of six as evil because of how uncontrollable her hunger is when she finally consumes the gnome that is not a decision she’s making out of her free will much like how many aspects of this game is connected to Spirited away I think, being inside the maw makes six crazy because she never had that appetite until she entered the Maw I also think that her consumption of the lost child makes her defeat of the masked lady, even more poetic, because that meal gave her the strength to defeat, the masked lady once, and for all. I also think that the reason why all the mirrors are broken, is that whenever she looks at herself for too long, she becomes angered, and her scream breaks the mirror. at least that’s how I see it

Fun fact: “K” is the 12th letter of the alphabet, which is 6 twice. This is the reason he named the runaway kid, “K” I assume.

I just wanted to say something I don't think many people noticed, but in the Runaway Kid's story, the gnomes' shadows look like humans. It's easiest to see when they're near the furnace or when you shine the flashlight on them. Just a neat touch I wanted to point out.

I feel like Six's betrayal makes a lot more sense than a lot of people give credit for. I'm not trying to say she's a good person, she's very much not, but she is understandable and her actions make sense. Mono, even though his intentions are likely kind, has not only refused to help her, but also put her in danger to begin with. There's the two times mentioned in the video, but then there's also the fact that the thin man would never have gotten out had Mono not opened the TV, and while Mono was likely not in full control of his actions there isn't really any way for Six to know that. Furthermore, monster Six might be the only time where she has ever been happy and safe, without having to worry about some monster come to eat or kill her, and Mono takes that all away from her. And while it is true that he was in his eyes helping, it is unclear if she would feel the same way, especially after some piece of her was left behind in shadow Six. Mono has in her eyes been the source of harm, whether intentional or otherwise, and so it makes sense that she would leave him behind. There's also the potential that she could tell the tower wanted him, or that his abilities were the same as the tower's, and then recognized him as a potential threat. Would the better option been to save him? Yeah, probably. But she's only a kid and so for someone in that situation, her actions as a selfish survivor make total sense.

Also pulling out the communist manifesto would not have been a good idea, mainly because the manifesto isn't actually that great a depiction of Marx's thoughts. Marx himself changed greatly over the span of his lifetime, and so many of his ideas would change over the years. Not to mention, the manifesto itself was written because of the demands of the group Marx was with at the time, and he was forced to include ideas he didn't care for into his already simplified and easy to understand piece, which doesn't actually go on to explain Marx's thoughts or philosophy all that well. If you want to understand Marx, you do have to read some earlier Marx of course like his On the Jewish Question (this one uses antisemitism as a means to work around censorship, but he does not actually believe in antisemitic rhetoric), but you also most certainly have to read his later stuff, like Capital which is his magnum opus and is where he really explores how capitalism functions and why in his eyes it will lead to its own downfall, or his Critique of the Gotha Program which is my personal favorite and has a lot of ideas which are absolutely fascinating and necessary for understanding Marx's critique of capitalism. In some ways it's kind of a shame that people are only really exposed to the manifesto, as while it's not necessarily a terrible piece, it just really isn't all that good at actually explaining what Marx thought and why he did. And considering that he is one of if not the most important philosophers in modern philosophy, it's a shame that most people don't actually understand what he said

the reason for the battle with the lady wearing a mask is to reflect the light, not so she can look at her own reflection
(and a detail that I think he didn't notice is that the gnomes' shadows are the shadows of the childrens)

The teacher actually looks like a teacher I had, and calling her a snake is funny because she was extremely religious but in the "better than you" way. She was worse than a snake though.

Little nightmares world building is INSANE

It feels like serious cope when people are seemingly hand waving sixes selfish choice at the end by offering all kinds of justifications. Mono leaving six behind in the collapsing building is a no brainer, mono is facing running for his life, six is behind him, He would’ve had to look behind him to have known that she fell. And even then what was he supposed to do? When people say that six might’ve seen mono as a liability how many times was six captured? The very first time you meet six she’s locked in the cell. At the end of the game she chooses the worst hiding spot then expects mono to commit suicide by jumping out and running the fade with slender man. Dawg at best she’s a desperate survivor at worst she’s an selfish opportunistic roach.

what i find cool is how youre always forced towards the danger. you escape the enemy old to see them walk into the next room where you gotta go to aswell. makes it so much more butt clenching!!

The teacher honestly looks like a cross between Hillary Clinton and Barb Chandler

The Janitor doesnt seem to actually have eyes at all. Theres a portrait of him in his room with the mask pulled up and you can see that theres no eyes looking back, unlike with the Twins. The reason the mask is falling down is because theres no need to keep it up, because he had no eyes to begin with.
