I just found there were too many exceptions to mechanics in the game for it to feel immersive. You can use the killing curse...except when the devs don't want you to. You can fly and land your broomstick wherever you like...except on those rooftops or anywhere in Hogsmeade. There was never any in-game justification given for why you couldn't fly or land your broom in certain areas so it all just came across as a lack of oversight by the devs.
That's what this game really struggled with, It didn't feel like I was a wizard in the harry potter world, it felt like I was a character in a game. Too many immersion breaking moments that stopped the fun.

This shows the fundamental problem that JK Rowling did not think of when adding this spell to the canon.

Avada Kedavra shouldn't work on large creatures. In lore you have to be a very powerful wizard to use the spell otherwise you won't have enough power to harm anyone, and that's just to kill a human. So any creature multiple times larger than a person likely couldn't be harmed by Avada Kedavra even from a powerful wizard

Ok but why are the beam clashes a thing? I don't like HP, but the reason Harry and Voldemort had beam clashes was a) initially due to their wands sharing cores, then later b) because the Elder Wand rejected Voldey and moved to Harry.

That's weird because I used it on Victor Rookwood and it killed him instantly with full health. I think it just didn't work on the Guardian because he's not a living thing and the grabhorn because your mission was to defeat it not kill it

Apparently you don't know that something has to be alive in order to be killed. Was the statue "alive"? No it wasn't. Context and having a brain is key.

Oh god I hated it when people ran around in the dark arts attire. Finally the proper robes! In my game I'd never wear anything that looks out of school dress code (I probably look like a clown without it, but cosmetics on the ugly clothes work!)

When you used the killing curse on the hag that sells you her store, the game would crash. Don't know if that is still the case.
