Tarkov has loads of weapons so obviously we couldn't cover them all in one episode!

There actually is an 80 round drum for the makarov, it's just a custom build that didn't actually get used as far as I know

There is a drum fir maks was very popular with Russian police, I think it held 84 rounds or something odd like that

For the KS23, Johnathan was explaining that the shotgun would not be affective at a longer range then normal, Which is actually wrong(ish). obviously depending on the weapon and ammo type, he is correct, but Garand Thumb has a video where he tests the range of shotguns and their ammo, it was pretty surprising to say the least.

and then I found that there really is a Makarov 84 r. drum magazine, there are at least few pictures with those.

I’ve never played tarkov but from what I’ve seen it’s very “you can make your gun cursed, it won’t work nearly as well as it should but you can still do it.”

Anyone using a toz will tell you its the worst gun in the game. Any AI scav with a toz turns it into the golden gun from goldeneye 007.

Canonically in the game, the Makarov's drum mag is actually a Makarov 8 round mag welded on to a 71 round PPSh drum.

So yes it doesn't exist, but it does in game because some madman in Tarkov makes them.

The toz is easily the worst gun in the game.

Wouldn't the drum mag on the Makarov should help it be stable/less recoil, because of the huge counterweight and inertia?

Using a drum in a pistol would not make it less stable it would actually make it more stable because extra weight on a firearm system reduces the recoil and inertia due to more force being required to move more weight. Science is simple.

I mean, obviously some elements have to be unrealistic because it's still a game

I looked it up- the Makarov did have an issued drum mag, but it was more used for riot officers who had the shields, and would have to fire one-handed! Neat little piece of history
