I was curious to learn more about my phone and was not disappointed. It still works perfectly after 3.5 years of usage,
and probably the last good OnePlus phone on the market, considering how expensive they are these days.

Watching it 2023 in 7 pro, brought it 2019 and still working same as new. Not even a scratch, battery holds 90% power compares when it was new. SOT still 6 to 7hrs almost. This was a gem in phone revolution.

So this is 2 years late, but having just opened my own device, I think I've found the cooling...

On the back glass panel there are a bunch of thin stickers, metal and foam. I think it's these things. As for doing their job, the device still gets very hot.

So with the glass not glued down, that should make it easier and cheaper to replace cracked glass, hey?

The black "sticker" on the mother board where the thermal paste was located is also a heat transfer material and under the black sticker is more thermal paste directly on the cpu. That counts for the 9th and 10th layers.

I don't know why they just didn't put a manual lever switch on the side to lift up the pop up camera. Or at least have it as a backup in case the motor burns out.

Sadly I learned the phone is not really water resistant. The phone fell on water for 10 seconds while the pop-up Cameron was out and a lot of water leaked. Damaging the touchscreen, cameras and motherboard. The phone is splash reistant but not water resistant. 😰😰😰 OnePlus wanted to charge me 550€ for fixing it...

Came here specifically to look at the battery. I have the 7+pro mclaren edition and the spec list SAYS 4085 MaH but in the ampere app it says 3300 MaH.... But the battery itself says 4000 MaH and I think there are legal requirements for listing things like that so I guess Ampere has a glitch rather then one plus trying to be sneaky ... Or somehow I got a phone that was built incorrectly

Great phone. Used it 1.5 years now and still going. Broke the back panel but screen is still fine (unlike my other phones that crack in a month). Only problem is that I need to actually press my charger for it to charge. Maybe there is too much dirt. My speaker holes get gunked up so fast that it wouldn't be surprising if same thing happened to charging port and charger pushed all that to the bottom

I think its super clear when they say 10 layer they are including the oled layer and the screen. theres a reason the piping has so much surface area touching the screen on that side.

So I dropped and shattered my screen on the it ans not is has a whote line through it😭 i bought a note 20 ultra as a replacement but I still miss my 7 pro. If I buy the screen could I pay you to replace the screen? Their is no way I could do it.
