Use a Bobbie pin, if yours had the the little bobs at the end then cut those off. Also use pliers!

I wouldn't use super glue method because even the tiniest excess drop in there could glue the key so tightly that you might never get it out.

what type of tool were you using in the first removal? Did you just put crazy glue on the rope on the one where you pulled the key out with a little rope? Or was it some type of epoxy?

You have missed the easiest way!
Put a magnet on the part of the key you have left and hold the key part against the one in the lock and pull it out. I did this at age 10’, when my dad broke the key in the trunk lock on his new car. I immediately run home for a magnet. It took only seconds to get out the part, that didn’t stick out at all from the lock.
