Ive always though tof lolita of such a pretty... everything. But I never saw myself wearing like full outfits and all that jazz. I like elements of it, I like the idea of incorporating them in my life... never actually got to it but its something that always been in the back of my mind. Someday I plan to have a kickass JSK and wear the fuck out of it every opportunity I can.

I get a decent amount of birthday money, and I've used it to buy a few lolita pieces, such as a few jsks and a blouse. I just save it up, find something I really like, and get it. I also like to look for promotions and deals.

The shoe and bag one fits in any style your outfit is. Brown, Black, Ivory, White and Gold fits into anything. The ivory and white might fit better in a lighter color sense but brown and black are the best in ANYTHING

I think a good thing to ask is; "What do you REALLY want?"
Meaning if what you want is a sailor-style JSK in a solid color, then you should probably start with secondhand or Bodyline, but if you have a specific print series in mind, you should save up for that piece and not try to buy a cheaper "place holder". I notice, as Lolitas build their wardrobes, that these "placeholders" account for a lot of the turn over as people are able to afford higher quality pieces. Instead try not to "settle" and save the money for actually getting what you want.

I recently just made my first OP. But want to make more skirts. I buy my blouses from my Lolita dress although I do know how to make them it's cheaper to buy them than make them as well as petticoats- I always buy new socks/stockings and wigs because of infections and nits

These tips are really helpful especially the part of Konmari, I went through my lolita and normal closet a couple of months ago with her method and got rid of some things but I can't really part from my main pieces, I still like the print a lot but I don't wear them most of the time. It is so hard to make a decision that way.. This was a great video!
