Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy great music through excellent performance.
ОтветитьThere is nothing like Bruchs violin concert. This is great marvellous music 🎼🎶💐
ОтветитьWhat land is this artwork depicting? 🤗
ОтветитьOk
ОтветитьJesus... this was boring
ОтветитьNice to listen to, but I found it rather rambling.
ОтветитьQuelle merveille d'écouter Max Bruch - il est un compositeur unique et je l'écoute tres souvent.
ОтветитьI prefer Bruch to Brahms, but that is merely to say he is probably greater than his current reputation suggests.
ОтветитьLike most of his output, other than a few works, this symphony has no real faults--it is attractive and well-proportioned. Instrumentation is expert. Just nothing gripping or memorable.
ОтветитьGlorious.
ОтветитьThank you very much for uploading this very beautiful music that I had never heard. It’s really a great symphony which, unfortunately, isn’t heard all that often.
ОтветитьI read in Bruch's bio that he isn't regarded as one of the "greats".His famous and most performeid work is his 1st violin concerto (which I love). Many of his original works weren't preserved, which is such a shame and loss for the musical world. He wias considered as ons of the last "late romanticists" who kept on composing in that vein although it wasn't as popular nearing the 1920's when composers like Prokoviev et al started ruling the roost. He stuck to his guns and actually produced quite a volume of work which sadly are not really played that much nowadays.
ОтветитьGreat music, love everything.
ОтветитьThe work comes across as more of a vast tone poem , rather than a clearly defined symphony. Full of colours and moods. It's like a journey through a landscape..
ОтветитьThis is very good.
ОтветитьThe Scottish Fantasy by the Composer Max Bruch is a living testimony of mankind's musical ingenuity.
Ответитьname of painting: Storm in the Mountains - Albert Bierstadt
ОтветитьAn outstanding work.
Ответить.
ОтветитьWhat's the name of the painting?
This will be true masterpiece out of German romantic school`s symphonies.
ОтветитьSome musicologists show a bit reluctant with respect to these symphonies of Bruch. I must confess that I do not share their vision. Probably there are "better" romantic symphonies. But these of Bruch seem to me sincere, well written, of a solid achitecture, with a simple and discrete but appropriate orchestration -altogh a bit thick here. I must confess that I love this symphony, - perhaps less than some others, but I love it.
ОтветитьProbably another Albert Bierstadt, born in German, lived mostly in U.S. This is perhaps his most overwhelming painting. Imagine this in full-size.

ОтветитьAs always for Bruch, the languaue is ultra conservative. The construction is hyper solid, the themes are noble and beautiful; the harmony is natural and efficient. To my taste, this is a very beautiful symphony but the orchestra is too saturated and makes a too large use of doublings and brass pedals. But this is common in the German orchestral language at that time. We could say the same about Franck. All in all, the three symphonies of Bruch - including this one - are masterpieces and dereve to stay in the repertoire of our concerts.
ОтветитьChef d'oeuvre !!! digne héritière de la 9eme.
Ответитьwow
ОтветитьРихард Вагнер мог бы поучиться у Макса Бруха!!! Теппер Михаил, Израиль.

ОтветитьGood piece of music. Conlon was music director for quite a few years with the opera and the symphony. So much good music that is rarely heard. Sym #1 is good as well. Next will be #3. So much so little time.
