I always watch this really amazing and action full show together with my grandma and my brother here in Latvia, and my brother absolutely loves Rex, and was so shocked when I told that Rex's real name is actually Diesel! 😄🐶 and I also have watched the Austrian original show some time ago, but we prefer the Canadian version! 👍🏻 Really great and well made show that we enjoy watching together for a while now! 😁 Sending all the best wishes to Rex / Diesel! ❤️❤️

Just found this show and I love it.

I remember this dude from the show. Back in the early 2000s, the Sky was in MTV original movie called real world the last season. That was like a little over twenty years ago he's still cute handsome.

I love this show, but I would love to know why they think it is ok for Rex/Diesel vom Burgimwald to eat bread on the show as often as he does. A canine in this type of role really should be setting a good example where possible for others to follow.
While bread is generally safe for dogs it is never recommended since it is a filler food for them only. In most cases, a small quantity is advised only. Bread is known to cause bloating in dogs, and as such when studying k9/dog handling it is one of the first things they tell us to keep away from them. I know they will have resident dog trainers working on the show and Diesel's owner is well respected, so I have no idea why on different episodes the show seems to think it is ok for them to not depict a trained K9 in a more professional manner!

Its an ok show but its still not a tenth as good as Republic of Doyle. Both were filmed in St.Johns but ROD was more believable and favorable towards Newfoundland especially St.Johns. Allan Hawko did a great job of putting St.Johns out there to the rest of Canada. Hudson and Rex will always be in the shadow of Republic of Doyle.

If this is filmed in Newfoundland how come nobody on the show has a Newfoundland accent?

Me and my wife watch Hudson & Rex over here in England . We both love the series very much . Rex / Diesel , is a very special dog & hopefully keep us entertained for some time to come . I do like the lovely Sarah too & just about the whole cast .

Joe Donovan's name though i just found this and its kinda funny if you switch the first letters then you would get doe jonovan take out the "ovan" and you get doe jon if you add an "h" and switch the places you will get john doe. i just thought of that last night, i dunno if it was meant to be that or not.

I've been a fan of the Austrian original since I was little and Hudson & Rex has done a really good job of making it their own while still honoring the original idea. The Austrian show is waaaayyy too specific to Austria and the humor would probably not be appreciated as much anywhere else, so I'm glad they didn't just copy paste everything

Hudson & Rex series is a very stupid police movie. Diesel is nice to watch. The rest of the movie is dull. Det. Hudson must have a nine lives to live to be a cop. He is the most stupid and no gut to be a real cop at all.
