My mom reminds me of Caroline a bit. My mom was also a waitress and I think was attacked when she was a waitress. whMy mother even lived in Minnesota during the 80s and 90s. My mother also had a guy like Adam (who died) that she loved or some kinda boyfriend. Sadly my mother was attacked way younger then in this scene. Sad to watch this scene.

I loved this scene back in the day.

After being raped, I can't watch this scene calmly. Something happens to me that makes me angry, full of rage, fear, anxiety, panic, and I can't explain it but I keep forcing myself to try and get through it when the movie is on. This is one of my favorite movies because I can identify with the character of Caroline. She keeps giving her love and heart to everyone, only to have it trampled and broken. But one day I will meet my Adam. Except he won't be sick and he won't die on me.

I love this movie so much that I'm willing to overlook all the oversights in the writing and stuff that didn't make sense like why didn't he take her inside when he carried her home? and how did he get a full size Christmas tree in her house without anyone seeing him? I also don't know why he wouldn't get the heart transplant. He finally found the love of his life. Why would he just choose to die? The end kills me because they could have been happy for the rest of their lives if he had just stayed in the hospital and had the transplant. I don't know why she didn't make him go back to the hospital. I would have had him by the ear marching him back to the hospital. Still It's one of my favorite movies of all time. I love how she takes care of him how they care for each other.
