The rich wealthy cause homelessness they drive up the cause of living i dont have to tell you why, you should know greedy and selfish dogs when you see them.

It's ridiculous to have to waste money on airfare.. The state that send them charge them . Nothing will change til laws change . They did it for pandemic, do it again . They use up all the funds that should be going to people that lived here.

If there is money for Biden to send abroad, certainly there is money for Biden and Hawaii Gov Green to find solutions for Hawaii needing a safe residence. @Oprah

USA can proudly say that it has the most homelessness and drug users in the world in the 21st century. All credited to the corrupt politicians and leaders that supposed be running a sound country over running their pocket books. But our government continue to divert attention to elsewhere in the world, China, Iran, Russia and now Ukraine, all the while stealing money from hard working tax payers who sadly believe in everything MSMs report.

500,000 homeless people in this country… so far 270,000 Ukrainian refugees have been taken in the USA. They’re given housing, cash, food, etc. I just can’t understand sometimes…

Doesn’t anyone get it. Their families don’t want to deal with the situation. Easier just to ship them off somewhere. Disgusting. I’ve witnessed this here on Kaua’i. Mumbling mentally I’ll, some screaming obscenities for hours. No one cares. Nothing is done to address the problem. Society turning a blind eye away from reality. Makes me sick 🤢

Social services in Boston "relocated" them to Hawaii & social services in Hawaii are "relocating them back to family" both states are just dumping them off.

My father and his GF got tickets from California to Hawaii from a charity. They stayed and begged in Honolulu for six months before getting another set of free tickets to go back to California. Insane.

We have had programs like this for years, paying airfare to ship homeless people elsewhere. As a 60 year old, disabled, retired teacher & 27 year Kauai resident who was recently homeless for 18 months, how about using this money to provide safe haven land for homeless people to sleep & have access to toilets, showers, running water & electricity on every island? Having police officers keep telling homeless people to “go somewhere else, stay on the move, illegal to sleep in your vehicle” etc., when there is NOWHERE to go is unacceptable after so many years. With each county in the state a separate island, people are unable to walk, or drive, to another county for help. Kauai’s only shelter has 18 beds for hundreds of homeless people, with ridiculous rules & limits, keeping half those beds empty every night. Over a year on the waiting list, I never got one night in the KEO shelter. Hawaii needs to do better for all their residents, not just those on Oahu. And you can’t keep shipping people off, or telling them to leave, just to keep them out of sight & remove the eyesore of homeless humans in paradise. Hawaii’s people are not as stupid as you treat us. We see how every state in the country is helping homeless people except our own. Treat every human being with kindness & compassion and help those less fortunate, as if they were your own family member. Don’t just look away. We exist. We are part of humanity & a reflection of this community. We are a child of God, equally deserving of love, food & shelter. We give decades of our lives to improve our communities here in Hawaii just to be thrown out like garbage & treated like unwanted trash. Come on Hawaii politicians and people, you can do much better!!!💔

A solution for the homeless problem is for any city or state to buy plane or bus tickets to send them to San Francisco. A model city that has declared itself a sanctuary city. This is the homeless paradise !! Nice weather, numerous government programs, free everything, shoplift whatever without law enforcement, etc, etc. Why would the homeless live anywhere else ??
