Google DOCS: Outline Features

Thank you! This has made my document so much more organized!

How the hell do you do it so it appears as different sections and not all as one?
Every time I try to switch to normal text, it changes the heading/title/whatever the hell aswell.

darnit. i already written many huge documents without using this feature and going back to edit or whatever is quite difficult and discouraging alteast going forward me using this would make everything less daunting

Thanks a lot for the excellent tutorial. Do you know how to make the outline show more characters...looking at your example you have the same issue as i do, for example in yours the text "The Process of Writing instru..." is not fully readable. Is there a way to make the outline show the entire text ( i have some long headers in my doc's and they are always clipped short). Thanks

It's weird for me, I am highlighting the selected text I want for the format, however it applies to every word that was not selected for the format (heading) please help

Whenever i do this, it only turns the whole page into the title. Whenever I try to differentiate the title from the rest of the text the title too turns into normal text. Can yall give me some help? I've been struggling with this forever.

every time i try to make a heading it makes everything a heading, how do i fix this? please help

Any advice on how to add text to a Google Doc that already has lines? As in making it appear that text is typed on the existing line but keeping the line stationary? My line keeps moving and I'm not sure what I'm missing and can't find a tutorial that addresses that.

How do I add something that is underlined like a subtitle and add it to the outline section, I think that I've done this before a little bit but I don't remember how if I did do it

Google was automatically creating headings in the outline for me, but missing some of what I wanted to show up there. Your video showed me exactly how to fix it, thank you!

I don't know why mine isn't working. When I highlight a sentence to turn it into a title, it automatically turns a whole paragraph into a title.
