ОтветитьMad respect for leaving it to the expert, Gordon. I know you could have made a review about this new Insta360 One RS technicality and more, but Ben really killed it in this video. Your channel never disappoint.
ОтветитьHi, Can you tell if this camera supports GSV (Google street View)
ОтветитьIs it possible to use only one lens at time? Like a vlogging or action camera use.
ОтветитьFascinating and very informative (as always).
ОтветитьUnlike the other reviews I have seen, this one makes me want to buy the camera! The shots in the bandstand really showed the difference between this and the X2 - under test conditions. I still have some reservations about quality once the cameras are on the move - it's then much less of a difference it seems. When it comes to audio, it's a pity the Insta360 have not followed DJI's lead, whose Action 2 camera will accept USB audio straight into its USB port, so you don't need an adapter. But I guess that's a nitpick. At the end of the day (in low light!) reasonably affordable 360 cameras can't compete with the basic image quality of normal cameras, because those seemingly impressive 6K pixels are spread over the whole globe that the camera captures. So while it's a great 360 camera for those needing to use a 360 camera, it's not a great camera for those not needing 360 degrees of capture. Which is simply stating the rule that every camera is a tool for a particular job - there's no "best" without considering the task in hand. Excellent work.
Ответитьyou have a hell of a partner. thanks to both of you
ОтветитьGreat review! But for sharper clarity and more practical usage, I'll be holding out for Insta360 to upgrade their EVO line with 1-inch sensors, optimized for VR180 in 3D.
ОтветитьDid you do any tests with the One R core and the1 inch 360 lens? I'm interested in how that combination performs versus the RS core?
ОтветитьI pre-ordered mine!
Ответитьlooks real good but the price tag is hard to swallow.
ОтветитьDang. Great review, but I was hanging out for some HDR tests. I'm particularly interested in using this camera for quick n' dirty HDRI maps for lighting in 3D environments. I read the 1-inch can yield 4 EV stops... but does it?
ОтветитьExcellent fast review. I am looking forward to the more content, like this. I am producing 360 content for several years owning Insta360, One X, One R and GoPro Fusion and this is the biggest upgrade I have seen in this area. It is beating also Ricoh Theta X, with the universality photos an video. Maybe with the further increase of chip used in Insta cameras in-camera stitching will come with next HW upgrade. Thank you for review and this new Insta us on my bying radar 😀. Have a nice day Alexander
ОтветитьAnother excellent video chaps. Personally, I would have no use for a 360 camera, but it was very interesting to watch & learn about this tech. It also solves the burning question of, "where did the selfie stick go"? Finally, Gordon, thanks for handing this review off to Ben. As you said in your intro, it's much more in his area of expertise.
ОтветитьThanks for the great review and the footage. This cam looks great but its difficult to get precise information. Can't find a manual anywhere. I'm mainly using 360 for timelapses. Do you know what is the minimum interval for photo timelapse ? IS there a night mode as with the GoPro Max or Fusion ? Many thanks for all the work.
ОтветитьGreat review. thanks for that. Couple of questions: 1) What is the battery life when shooting max res at 25fps and can it be extended if using a battery bank with PD? 2) what are recommended memory cards? Thanks.
Ответитьnice review, however as a 360 motovlogger myself, I been using one x2 for long time, been hopeing insta360 will annouce one x2's next generation product, but after watching lots of review videos , I have to say insta360 one rs 1 inch is NOT for motovloging, insta360 even officially mentioned it on their purchasing page, that this camera is not for action or high speed, and it can not be used with fully extended selfie stick ( due to its weight I guess). Anyway this 1 inch is really a new era for 360 video making, for me I guess I will keep on waiting for " One X3"
Ответить👍🏾🙏🏾
ОтветитьFantastic! I had no idea there were cameras like this...I am old!
Ответить$800.00 is pretty steep for nitch camera!
Ответитьthank you for nice detailed review. Very informative and understandable.
Instead phone, can I use my iPad mini 6 version? Thinking about use it for my dedicated edit/uploading.
Is there steam inside 360 mode lens after shooting few minutes?
ОтветитьI just realized I get nostalgic watching your videos bc I've been watching for like 13 years lol. Same with Kai Wong back when he was on DRTV. Still very helpful material. Thanks!
ОтветитьWhats the max resolution for flat export without degradations?
ОтветитьSüper
Ответитьthe 1 inch is absolutely over-sharpened out of the box. luckily you can lower the sharpening setting in camera. i have seen a few videos of the 1 inch with lowered sharpening settings and it looks great and better IMO than the over cooked OOC setting. already have this camera on order.
ОтветитьYou added a lot. Thank you.
But, I am an old man and not used to such Hi-Tech cameras, and get lost in the middle of buttons. what would you advice me to do, and how to use such a queer camera?
I’m thinking that you are in the Brighton area. Where are those poppies located?
ОтветитьIs the lens easy get scratched?
ОтветитьWill it be ok without the selfie stick, just holding it normal
ОтветитьGood review - Do you know if there are any stills virtual tours online using the camera
ОтветитьAwesome! Thanks for this!
Ответитьcan you shoot manual settings with this? 24, 30, etc fps? will I need filters?
Ответитьthe selfie stick that comes with the camera is defective. The glue that bonds the handle to the telescoping stick failed and the camera fell out. It scratched the lens. The Insta service won't replace the stick or cover damage/loss. After weeks of going over the issue they are not sending a replacement.
ОтветитьThis looks like a significant upgrade from our original One X. A problem with the One X we found was overheating on long shots (15-18 min)…the battery swelled to the point it took plyers to pry out of the camera. Second concern - battery life?
ОтветитьHello! For long recordings and with external temperatures above 20-25 degrees centigrade I noticed an overheating, up to the recording stop on the insta 1 inch. Thank you. Claudio Hi
ОтветитьIf I attach this on the rear of a
a moving car, will it come apart or is it safe in that case?
Thank you for the video. I have to say that the lack of HDR video (as available on just about all recent Insta360's cheaper cameras) and the abhorrent way this camera absolutely destroys and obliterates all and any highlights, is absolutely unwatchable, period. I do not understand how this camera's IQ and dynamic range are so horrendous and seemingly no one and no reviewer seems to care.. I just can't comprehend.
ОтветитьFYI the camera doesn't struggle per say. When you're close to it on the stitch line is doing a perfect job of switching two images together as it normally does. It's just the stitch line becomes more apparent the closer you get. The camera doesn't know the difference between a face and scenery on the stitch line.
ОтветитьHow do they get away with making this lower frame rate than the lower model? 🤔 Surely it is capable of that frame rate? They have just deliberately limited it(?)
ОтветитьDoes this camera do the “fisheye/globe” shots Jarod Polan and Potatoe Jet showed on their X3 reviews?
ОтветитьThank you for pointing me to this video Gordon, I can't believe I missed it. Fantastic review and totally agree, it's the right tool when it's the right tool but the other 360 cameras that insta make are more than enough for most people. Cheers for the tips on shooting with it to keep it natural. Much appreciated. Hope the coffee is good a D you got a good evenings testing down the beach. Gutted I couldn't have joined you. One day for sure 😁👍
ОтветитьHey great video, still trying to figure out if buying the 1 inch 360 camera, is this all I need, or do you also need the new 1 inch lica mod or GoPro for regular/normal shooting or even under water shots? Thanks
ОтветитьThis camera in default settings is terribly bad at recording small objects in the shadows and vegetation around you if you move. This can be seen in your video. But there are settings that fix it, it's a pity that you didn't tell about it.
ОтветитьWhich one is the best 360x3
ОтветитьThanks allot for your review of the 1 inch camera. Looks like this camera would work for me. I do both outdoor and indoor videos. Size shouldn't matter and I don't need water proof.
Question for you: How hot does the 1 inch camera get? Can I go for 20-40 minutes without it overheating and shutting down?
The only other Insta360 camera I am watching videos on is the newer X3 model.
thanks again for the review. Take care.
