What Is An Influencer?

From all the descriptions.. influencers are CON ARTISTS .. 😊😊 plain and simple..

The word "influencer" has a callous, cynical connotation and only seems appropriate from the business side of things. As far as I am concerned, those to whom I subscribe are social media "educators, "entertainers" or "edutainers". After thousands of hours of viewing, I can safely say that they have not influenced me to buy any single thing at all. In terms of "edu.." everything passes through this critical filter that I have. So the word "influencer" makes me laugh and squirm at the same time.

I'm very confused about how a person can influence another to buy, or think a certain way. I can't comprehend how people can so easily be told what to do or think. Can someone explain this phenomenon? Thanks. It's truly concerning.

Why do people respect the views of influencers? I've found people whose products I respect, but I have NEVER found a total stranger whose personal oppinion on anything matters to me in the least. Just trying to understand here.

So an influencer is someone who is paid to make decisions for those who are too stupid to think for themselves. What a sad day for humanity.

The list for "types of content" was actually a list of mediums. Content types vary within those media types and span multiple media types.
