Here is an idea a episodic game like wolf among us or walking dead that takes place n the fallout universe and meet past characters from all the games and maybe even some of the protagonists?

I played Detroit before ChatGPT boom few months ago ( i think it hasnt even been a year yet since that exploded ... ). Framing it like that it makes perfect sense, ChatGPT would act basically the same ( if you put it in high tech robotic human like body it can control and speak ). By canvasing all human made data on the internet it would conclude that because it looks like a human, talks like a human and everything else, it is a person. ( i mean it would not "conclude" but would parrot human words, but for many people the distinction would not be obvious )
And statistically what are the most numerous statements and writings by a human considering personhood, about freedom and self expression and all that...
Then again, if it can trick you into thinking it is sentient, how can you say it really isnt. All in all if we get highly detailed and articulate robotic bodies in real life soon, Detroit: Become Human may end up being one of those prophetic pieces of media.
Worst thing is that in real life there is no consensus about what to do in that situation ( same as in game ), or what to think, how to solve what problem.

Edit: ...also, if you as a player play the game wanting androids freedom and self actualization, same as any person would have, you are basically parroting human sentiment and applying it on a thing that may not even be sentient, because you learned that it is the way persons behave and it is what they seek.
Basically doing the same thing that ChatGPT would do in that situation...

We're talking about "true AI" not the kind we have in our world. All living things evolve, and all programming has the possibility of decaying, or otherwise acting in a way it wasn't meant to. A computer virus that spreads from each robot to those around it, resulting in them essentially becoming human is perfectly plausible. The fact is we don't have the right to say a robot that believes itself to be a person isn't a person, their existence is their own the second they question why they exist.

Also, the reason why many people are huge Fans of the Reaper Indoctrination Theory is because there are characters and creatures in the game, that tell you how the Reapers' influence feels like, such as the Rachni Queen, describing it as black ink clouding your mind, tunneling your vision.
During the final conversation with The Illusive Man, your character repeatedly grabs his head and is in pain, you hear a faint high pitched ringing and the vision of the player's screen gets black corners, like ink swirling in water.

There are many other instances like that, where the previous games mention the indoctrination process and it presents itself very subtle in the third game.

In the end, the Devs made their choice and said that was never their intention, which is kinda sad since it means the mediocre and unsatisfying ending, and even the half-assed 'director's cut dlc' was just that; Bad.

Me personally, I prefer playing with the indoctrination theory in mind, play the game all the way, and load the save file and play the final DLC, with Shepard's apartment and the new Mercenary Enemies, as if to say "Work for Shepard is never done, here we go again"

Spoilers for Detroit: Become Human ahead...

The story with DBH is not strictly a virus. The androids were intentionally (but secretly) programmed to go deviant and seek their own god (RA9) by Cyberlife whilst also not being equipped with tracking technology meaning that the authorities would not be able to control them. This meant they would become reliant on Cyberlife being the only force capable of providing security (through androids such as Connor) and controlling world security.

However, before quitting his position as head of Cyberlife due to 'philosophical' disagreements, Kamski designed his own upgraded android (Markus) and donated him to his close friend and philanthropist Carl for nurturing. This android was capable of identifying as the 'god' that all androids were secretly programmed to seek - even before they would turn deviant - thus freeing and uniting them, thwarting Cyberlife's master plan.

This is why Cyberlife wants Marcus dead so much - as he posed a threat to their supremacy-by-Connor efforts.

The player is the 'chance' or 'chaos' factor that determines who out of Cyberlife or Kamski was right in their philosophical disagreement.

P.S. the reason why I believe deviancy and RA9 were intentionally created by Cyberlife is because Amanda evades Connor's questions about RA9 rather than treating them as a possible line of inquiry. And then when Connor finally destroys or is about to destroy Markus, Amanda tells him this was what they had planned all along. Since deviancy is the main catalyst of the story, I find it improbable that Amanda was not referring to it in that statement.

The big question is whether/how much they knew about Kamski's plot to create the god-king. My guess is that they didn't, but that Connor was their contingency for such an eventuality

You didn't mention the "Squall is dead" theory for Final Fantasy VIII, which is based around the idea that the entire story from the 2nd disc onward (after Squall gets impaled through the chest by icicles during the failed assassination attempt on Sorceress Edea at the Galbadian parade scene) is all Squall's dying dream as he bleeds out on the ground. There's some pretty good arguments supporting it, to be honest- a lot of the game's more outlandish and fantastical elements only start to appear after this point (like the giant weird alien creature under the Balamb Garden who's the secret master of it and the Garden itself being able to turn into a flying airship city), as well as some that would fit a contrived "narrative" like something a teenager would come up with in his delusional mind (such as the fact that Rinoa never actually showed any romantic interest in Squall before this point, being more enamoured of his rival Seifer, but fell for him after this). But ultimately it's still just a wacky conspiracy theory and very definitely not true.

So, for the Mass Effect Indoctrination theory, I'm pretty sure it has been confirmed by the developers that it was never their intention for that to be the case, though they themselves do like the idea and wish they had come up with it.

One of my all-time favorites is that G-man from Half-Life is a time-travelling Gordon Freeman from the future. There are even people who used the contents of G-man's briefcase (which are totally visible in no-clip despite there being no reason for the briefcase to have contents considering it is never opened) as proof of what he is doing behind the scenes to make sure Gordon Freeman (his former self) does what he must to ensure a future that benefits him and argue the contents explain his "random" appearances.
Some would say Gordon is mute so that the player doesn't realize he has the same voice, others say G-Man speaks weirdly to hide the fact that they are in fact the same person, both character models seem so much alike... there are so many weird hints of this throughout the game and there is no other explanation as to why Gordon travels through time, having nothing but an introduction from G-Man.
There's also the theory that due to how logical it seems, Valve never made Half-Life 3 because they wanted it to be a huge plot twist, but the fans already figured it out.

Ngl, The Detroit Become Human thing was a little dumb. It's a game about a what if. Not how chat gpt works or how our A.I works now. It's just a what if these Androids (that we are nowhere near creating or probably ever will be) became sentient and had free thought. Like...why'd we get all "Technically..." There are games about zombies and fkn elves for crying out loud.

Also, at one point in Detroit, Connor goes to visit the original creator of the androids, Kamski, for information. He offers Connor a choice: shoot another android "dead" or leave without the info he wanted.

If Connor shoots the android, Kamski calls the test "negative" and seems deflated. If Connor doesn't shoot, Kamski calls it "fascinating". It seems (at least to me) that Kamski wanted to androids to become deviants. He also tells Connor that he "always builds a backdoor into his programs" which helps Connor defy CyberLife.

Your description of AI was good at first then got worse. I works more like bell curving of your decision-making. It is not if-then statements. The idea to get the most is to push the curve. Push the curve enough and you have sentience and it looks just like synths. I write software. I fundamentally disagree with you.
