CISSP...Is It Worth It?

Are you thinking about getting the CISSP certification? What certifications do you already have?

A good organization worth their weight in stock options will have a vested interest in employee professional development. They'll more than likely (but not always) willingly cover the costs of these curriculums. If you're lucky, they'll pay your certification membership fees as well. You need to have a candid conversation with your employer. You might be presently surprised these programs already exist within your corporation. Growing the organization from within is much better than constantly hiring new people.

Very insightful! I am looking into the cybersecurity field coming from 6 years of military intelligence. I searched the 8 domains experience is needed and feel I have decent knowledge of security and risk management, identity and access management, and security operations. I know ISC(2) has limited information and recommends taking the test and then figuring out if you qualify but are there any resources available on how to see if your military experience fulfills some of the required domain experience? Thanks!
