Imagine being a drill and for 12,000 years never having experienced a human only to see one for the first time. It has to be relatively mind-blowing. But no doubt the into it on a basic level the potential/ likely danger and risk posed by said humans.

If nothing else the drills have the best grooming of any animal I've ever seen. It's like they make daily trips to the most high-end Barber you've ever met

Here, on Bioko Island, lives one of the rarest primates, the Discount Mandrill

there are Drills on the mainland, too. mostly in nature reserves made for them. i had a friend of mine visit cameroon for over a month to work there with them. Bioko is their main habitat but they do exist in mainland africa, as well. shouldve maybe waited until the end to write this but oh well...
