G430max10k is going to be the most interesting driver this year - high forgiveness and low spin at the same time, wow.

Actually, you aren't wrong about the head feeling heavy. Ping drivers tend to have a slightly heavier head weight than most the other manufacturers.

It's funny because my ping g425 that's now a few years old, also claimed 10,000 MOI. Leads me to believe that the g430 sacrificed MOI in favor of a better sound, and maybe this g430 10k is then taking that better sound and bringing it back up to 10,000 MOI. Which, if it actually sounds better than the g425, makes it their best driver. I personally am not offended by the sound and love the playability of my g425.

Would love to see you compare the G400 Max versus the G430 Max 10K!!!

I went for a driver fitting yesterday, and the Qi10Max worked well for me. I struggle with low spin, low launch and occasional snap hook on driver, and my usual driver clubhead speed is around 95mph. The Qi10Max worked best for me at 12 degree head at standard loft, and a stiff 50g shaft. Consistent shots at 235 yds carry, 255 yds total at a Trackman. I would be very happy with these numbers on the course. The spin average was at 2250. I did not have time to test delofting the club to 11.25 degree, it could have worked even better. I tried the ping, Cobra darkspeed, as options Multiple stiff and regular shaft options. The others did not work as well and as consistently.

Maybe I am stupid, I have been called that and worse, but can someone please list the time stamp in the video that pertains to the title of the video if I am correct in assuming off center hits not being far off the target line? I saw something about 2.1 yards, but that just kind of caused more questions than an answer. I heard everything from swing speed, to elephant's foot prints, to carbon crowns and turbolators, to where the driver is going to sit because the G400 range is going to continue and tours switching to it, but for the life of me I didn't seem to catch much at all how close my ball is going to land to my target line if I miss the center of the clubface. As for the 3 drives shown, 1 was in the Mohatmas, 1 was in the rough short of the fairway, and 1 was in the fairway, and to be honest, the shot flights didn't seem very consistent.

Iam still hitting the G400 Max and it's far and away the easiest to hit ive ever had. You can find them for 200 with a good shaft and it's worth a try for anyone who wants an easier club to hit

Hit them both back to back. For me they both spun on average at 2600 to 2700. Mishits around 3100. Which is great for me. My ss is about 103ish.

I swing around 95ish MPH and hit good drives off the tee, and I also tried both of these clubs and can’t decide which is better, what do you think would be the better driver for me? Im looking for feel and distance please let me know

I’ll wait to see Rick’s test on the G430 10k. I’m not putting Rick down but it’s hard to tell with you Pete because you hit the driver so well. Rick is more realistic in the real world. If he agrees, I could feel a bit aggrieved having spent a lot of money on the G430 last year and as we all know gains like this are expensive in the modern golfing world.

So the new Ping beats out the Qi10, is it better than the Ai Smoke and the DarkSpeed as well?

you should use mid handicappers when testing forgiving clubs. I am very interested in the QI iron set. but that doesn't mean much to me when you, playing from scratch, hit the balls 200y with a 7 iron. if you had brought a 25hcp and let him try it too, then we, for whom the clubs are made, would have seen how forgiving they are.

The G430 Max 10k sits in-between the G460 Max and the LST in the Ping line-up. If i didn't recently (Sept. 2023) get custom fit for TSR3 i would def. give the G430 Max 10k and the AI Smoke a shot.

So which would be better for an average golfer in your opinion ???? Would the gen 6 driver be close to these two drivers

So I've watched your driver reviews, and I think the G430 MAX 10K would be the driver for me. BUT how does it stack up against my current G425 MAX? Should I spend the money, or wait another generation or two?

Ping has the ugliest drivers every year. Always look weird and off putting

The Ping G425 Max also already has 10k MOI and Ping even advertises this on their website if you look up the specs… so not sure why this is suddenly such a thing… maybe this is the original G430 Max design but Ping didn’t manage to release it last year (the G430 LST had massive back order issues in spring last year related to the production of the carbon crown…)
