ive come to conclusion that this thing only does well if you are a techy type. I am not, but thought I new enough to learn, saw the adobe express talk on the printify program today, went to the site, was definitely not the same. I have my own art that I just want to get printed on posters etc,
But can't seem to find a site that can do that easily, have them all vectorized but I'm so lost.
Sucks to get old, I'm 76 and pissed I did not do this a few years ago, ha ha maybe in the next life!!

I thought Etsy didn't charge but took a few cents for every listing? Well, there go my plans.... What am I suppose to do, have 10+k on my account for Etsy to charge me anyway they please, not knowing what's coming or going? If you have those sums to be "playful" with you probably don't need Etsy to begin with, you probably already own a clothing brand. Etsy used to be for your average Joe.

So is there any other place left that let's you list and only takes a symbolic sum for the listing and gets a percentage of the sale? Ya know, like Etsy used to be?

What does "etsy fees are no fun" mean exactly?

Hi Shimmy, Im new here. Just wondering will there be any difference between shopify and printify pop up store? Since I am planning to use printify for my POD and bring my own traffic from instagram/facebook anyway, why not use the pop up store? The pop up store is free when compared to shopify. Do you have a video for that? I will watch it up.

Re Amz Merch, would you recommend just biting the bullet and paying for a Pro account and sell your merchandise instead of the waiting and scaling up tiers strategy?

Surely if you factor in the time, monitor your spend vs revenue & profit (as you should be anyway), a successful product will pay for your monthly subscription? Plus the other fees associated with the Pro account.

In a previous video where you criticized "the guy" who classifies print on demand as "active" or "passive," I don't think you were quite fair. I've seen quite a few of his videos. He specifically says what he means by "passive." That on certain POD platforms, you don't have to deal with customer service, product returns, securing a payment processor, or building a website. He does say that you must do your research, adhere to trademark and copyright rules, work to produce products, upload them, and track performance. He does not say that all you have to do is create a T-shirt, upload it, then sit back and let the money roll in, as you seemed to have implied. You were a bit misleading about "the guy".

Great video, I was so upset that I was not accepted to Amazon and no more tears 😊 I laughed out-loud at Etsy “research, upload, wait, go on uploading, wait, wait wait!” defines my situation perfectly! struggling in Etsy and working on my Shopify 👍 for the moment 😉

$99/month is steep for all of the costs it takes to run a POD business.

I'm trying the facebook ads strategy, and using their general (wide) targeting. "Letting facebook find your audience," as you say. A question I have - how does facebook know? Is it using my title and blurb to find keywords? Let's say my niche is dinosaurs - with a headline "Your new favorite dinosaur shirt", would facebook target people who have interacted with dinosaur media recently? I can't seem to find how this targeting works. Thank you.

why you not add to amazon cons that your account can be suspended at any time without any reason sometimes. and for Shopify cons we have payment gateway

Any comments on Shift 4 Shop?

Shopify don't let you go to the moon with product listings. Shockingly when I tried to transfer my Etsy shop to Shopify it stopped me after 1000 listings. I couldn't believe it. I was paying high monthly price to have my own shop and then they throttled my listings? I could actually understand Etsy doing this (they never did) because it could clog up a marketplace but Shopify? I was so pissed off.

It's also sooo slow it reminds me of PayPal. Every page in the admin area takes an age to load.. So weird.

I don’t have a lot of designs yet and I make basically zero sales on Etsy. If I were to have started spending money on Shopify, I would be several hundred dollars in the hole right right now. we need a different option that is free or very low cost. Maybe Woocommerce.

Also Facebook ads does not allow you to target people based on their political or social cause interests, so I can’t use Facebook ads 🤦‍♂️
