True..🙏....major income comes from service & add-ons. Even within 10k kms from brand new, VW dealer asked for new rear rotors & brake pads at $800🤷‍♂️....I dont...let the wheels fall apart...then v will c😝😝😝😝

The bulk of their profits also come from the Service Dept. Here in Calif, no state agency monitors how much they rip off the public. A rat ate the engine wiring on my 2021 Telluride and they charged my insurance company 8500!!

Car dealerships make money by screwing and ripping off customers. It's unfortunate we still have to deal with the middleman when buying a car in 2022.

Many of the big dealership owners are multi millionaires or even billionaires. They didn't get that way by losing money. They use their car dealerships as their side business and to write it off on taxes. As far as car salesman telling you that you are getting a good deal and the dealership is losing money on that sale ( to guilt you-like he said) tell him you appreciate the joke and ask him to point out some car deals where they made money off of, or tell him that he has many other nice cars and the buildings to soothe the pain
