ОтветитьThank you! I'm going to expand my Russian study using some of your suggestions. I've used two marketed apps DUOLINGO and BABBEL. Spoiler alert: I couldn't recommend either one for studying Russian. Here's why:
I really liked DUOLINGO Russian and have completed 85% of the course. One of its short comings is, there are no opportunities to converse or create your own sentences. Additionally, in August 2022, Duolingo restructured the course and eliminated the Russian TIPS that were absolutely essential for learning grammar.
As an alternative, I purchased a 1 year subscription to BABBEL. When I discovered they only offer Newcomer and Beginner Russian, I cancelled my subscription and got a refund.
Which premade anki decks do you recommend?
ОтветитьGreat stuff, thank you
ОтветитьI am looking for an online trainer to study modern informatics and technology. I am interested
ОтветитьI find that Busuu is an excellent app to get you to an advanced B2 level. The lessons are enjoyably gameified, the material is useful and varied. And every other lesson it asked you to give a fuller response — written or oral. These answers will be instantly corrected by native Russian speakers. And how much you interact with these Russian speakers, and how far you push yourself with your answers, is up to you. The app also has amazing customer service if you have any questions.
I think Busuu is the best general app out there for Russian (I’ve used half a dozen or more of them), but with one big caveat: it doesn’t go past B2. No C1 here, which is really frustrating. But you can continue to submit responses that will be corrected by native speakers.
Best explained! Your video was very helpful as I want to learn Russian. 👌👍💯
ОтветитьDamn those dutch genes 😣😣😣💓
ОтветитьThank you for making these videos, they are helpful.I was wondering if you have any suggestion on any Russian vocabulary learning app
ОтветитьRussian Reader app is way awesome too..
ОтветитьHey i love your videos. I've been studying Russian for like a year and a half and lately it has been hard to motivate myself, knowing how much further i have to study. Your videos always get me feeling more motivated.
ОтветитьFuck yeah! Thanks man
ОтветитьThe problem for me with RussianPod101 is that it’s overwhelming—too many choices for me as a complete beginner. I prefer that Pimsleur and Speakly have a set program to follow that will teach me the most common words and phrases. I don’t know if Pimsleur has done the same (but maybe they have because it overlaps a lot with Speakly), but I know that Speakly has analyzed all the most common words and phrases and focuses on teaching those whereas RussianPod101 is organized more by themes. I feel that RussianPod101 will be more useful to me once I have a strong foundation in the basics.
ОтветитьHi man what about english do you have any aps for this
ОтветитьАри, на английском Вы говорите быстрее и увереннее))
Ответитьmuito obrigado pela informação. Eu estou aprendendo Russian. Russian Alphabet Mastery app is great . Thank you very much for the info
ОтветитьI’ve used pimsleur and assimil in the past for other languages I’ve learned. Do you think they are good to learn Russian too??
ОтветитьIs "speak russian" a good app?
ОтветитьDuolingo is pure garbage
Ответитьтак интересно смотреть за тем, как иностранцы учат русский язык

Very helpful, thanks 😀
ОтветитьThese recommendations are really good and thought through. I like how you structured it! :) I just had a minor surgery and I have to lie in bed, so I thought I'd finally start learning Russian 🥰 I always wanted to learn it and go to Russia one day 🙏
ОтветитьDefinitely check out Lingvist App for learning Russian vocabulary. There is a lot of great information packed into this app along with grammar challenges, speaking and comprehension. It also utilizes a great spaced repetition algorithm using AI. Helped me a ton with vocabulary.
ОтветитьCould anyone help me with my Russian
Ответитьthanks for the video,my reccomendation is rosetta stone.i think everybody should try this for any language.i really helps me
ОтветитьI've really been thinking about using Italki! Have you used it yet?
ОтветитьI like your videos. I am learning russian for months and you keep me motivated with your advices and your speaking. Keep up the good work
ОтветитьDo you know where I could find some useful decks for Anki? The ones I found on google were absolutely massive - like 5000 words or something!
ОтветитьHello Ari. Thanks for this video, it's very useful. I really like how you motivate and show different ways to learn Russian. Just the fact that you're so passionate about it is so motivating :D
An app that I recommend is ReversoContext (I have it on android). It's a translator, but when you type a word, you also get sentences with this word so you can see it in context. You can save the words and then you will get a "phrasebook" with them.
There's even a "learn" function, where you can practice your saved words (the app will also give you some random words if you don't have enough of your own) and the words will be put in sentences. You will hear the prononciation of the word, the prononciation of the whole sentence and the sentence in your original language (doesn't work with all languages). If you wonder how to conjugate a word, you can also look it up :)
Also a good function if you're in a hurry, a total beginner or maybe just a little little lazy, is that you can take a photo of a word or a sentence and it will translate it for you.
I really like to use this app when I watch series and want to save the words that I want to remember, or when I want to write something on my own, but first want to see how the word looks in other sentences.
Hope my explanation isn't too chaotic, english is not my native language, i'm from Poland :)
Arie, there is another app that you might like to learn Russian: WordReference. I haven’t used it yet for Russian, but I did use it to study French and found it to be very helpful for looking up definitions of words.
