ARK - Project Old School - Massive Dino AI Overhaul!!

So what happened? Where project old-school?

This looks promising, anyway to make Alphas give a buff to the others pack dinos?
So if an Alpha Raptor showed up, it would disable the regular Pack buff the normal raptors give each other and the Alpha would give them a Experienced Leader buff or something like that, increasing attack speed, damage, a little to speed and if possible speed up the AI a tiny bit itself so the Dino's logic is updated faster added far more ferocity to the battle if you target an Alpha or get too close. And would this be compatible with Transcendence?

I'm sorry to ruin a little of the fun, but paleontologists are quite certain nowadays that Dromaeosaurs like Utahraptor and Velociraptor were not pack hunters like wolves, they instead behaved more like Komodo dragons where they would gather and mob to kill large prey and often fight for the kill afterward, living a mostly solitary lifestyle unless it is a family unit

I think the alphas should have a larger call zone then the normals bc they are larger and more powerful

Hey Nick, question about packs of wild dinos: will they cause damage to each other if multiple are called over to fight you, or is the pack essentially 'friendly fire off'?

It always has bugged me that some of the larger dinos like the Rex, cant destroy stones structures. Will this be changed in P.O.S?

You could break this ai by trapping one to be bait then attacking it to get it to call for help calling others would make it easy to trap them Ib my opinion not sure if that's bad or good

are you going to buff firearms? If raptor dangerous, gun should be dangerous. Like yeah they can swarm but in reality guns would overpower most creatures on the ark (but currently not so much without really good BPs)

Is a carno's call for help going to over ride a yut's pack? Or is the yut going to come to the aide also?
Previous video: if I get knocked out by a wild scorpion that does no damage, am I going to sit knocked out until I dehydrate or starve? Barring no other creature is around to damage me.

While we're talking about raptors/alphas, can you PLEASE fix the loot table for alpha creatures? Like when you're strong enough to take out an alpha, ya dont need berries and a few arrows xD

Just realized yutyrannus are going to be the most terrifying thing in the wild, I love it.

You could give a Dino the ability to hunt other creatures while you are riding it

tbh this is kindda meh... as long as you have a strong enough creature this is irrelevant

this is a realy cool idea just wish the call had actual animation and the others coming would have a call animation as a response.

I love everything about this except for the dino re incarnation system, it makes no sense tbh if all your dinos will come back to life...kinda makes pvp and raiding pointless

I have played a lot of Atlas(I was apart of D&T for a while) and maybe 3 hours of ark. Watching what you are creating makes me want to play this.

Raptor are pack animals so Its awesome you guys make them how they need to be working in (real) live .. Its interesting how the argys pte and quetsals will function they are carnivore as well ... argo 1 trap the full pack.🤣

Does this also mean that the wild raptors won't be completely stupid anymore? They used to think it a good idea to attack a T-rex alone or with two or three others which just seemed stupid to me

Do all carnivores have this, because I kinda dissagree with for example rexes and having a comparable AI. Because if you look in real life there are quite some animals in real life which barely seem to help others from the same species. Esspacially spinos and bary's because they seem to be very territorial so it doesn't make sence to me that they call to help from rivals and basicly invite them into their territory.
By the way carnivores now also look more to what they are attacking, it doesn't make sence to me if I'm on a (tamed) giga that some 4 raptors come up and throw their lives away.
And are all carnivores always aggresive so with the previes example might it be that 4 raptors won't attack me but if they are with lets say 10 they will.

Can you make some dodos turn in to zombie dodos when you kill them?
