I dont think you should compare s23 ultra to pro max. Campare it to may be s23 plus. There's no comparison to s23 ultra. No phone on this planet comes near to it. May be next year when 24 ultra comes out. It is ultra for a reason.

S23 Ultra is clearly better. Before iphone had a better camera but mrwhosetheboss proved that samsung is better at camera too now. It indeed is a better phone but apple fanboys will never accept it.

I've had both. Battery life is better on 14PM. Camera is better on S23U. Faceid > FP sensor. Punch hole > Pill. Flatscreen > Curved. Rounded corners > Pointy corners. Android > IOS. Go with whatever you want, both are excellent.

Switched to Samsung Galaxy s23 from 14 Pro as 14 pro was too boring!
Sold the S23 for nearly $150 loss after few days and got 14 Pro Max.
Cost of realising how good having a boring but ABSOLUTELY reliable phone was $150 and few days of suffering.
Only 1 reason Samsung (or Android in general) sucked for me- Apps (almost all of them- be it samsung's own or 3rd party apps) have crappy optimisation which is really noticeable every time i use an app which made me realise how good iPhones are.
For ya Android suckers- if you're happy with your phone, suck it up. No need to let me know.
This comment is solely for iPhone users who are thinking of switching thinking it's no biggie.

Also, you kinda missed some inner details which matter like -
1. both have LTPO panel screen but Samsung's is 4.0 whereas iPhone has 3.0
2. iPhones battery is smaller in physical quantity, which may be a problem for some who would like to reverse charge other devices
3. reverse charging
4.ubdate priorities
etc..

3. Does Samsung have visual voicemail inbox?
4. Does Samsung have 60fps recording? Because often when you move camera in low light, things get very very choppy.
