Very interesting and wise interview.

Wow. Twenty years on this interview is a powerful contrast to ....EVERYTHING! As a hard-assed old conservative I remember Michael as a radical lefty deserving of little attention. I supported Bush THEN. Now Bush-Iraq looks very different, I was wrong, and I'm anti-government & oppose foreign wars! Gay issues: Then & now, Watta difference! That Michael (2004) would be a mild-moderate to conservative today! (What he would have evolved to we'll unfortunately never know). It's amazing to listen to views at a innocent time when when the world wasn't as insane as it is now.

I keep watching over and over the WHAM documentary on Netflix.
He had such a beautiful face, so easy to fall in love with.
I Loved his smile and his expressions he would put on his face. and how he talked.
Truthfully Loved everything about him.

If there is an afterlife I know he is in a happy place.
His sexuality , was not a huge issue with m lost people because he was such a wonderful human being.
his sexuality was his business just like every other human being.
But I personaly think his drug problem originated because he knew he,was,gay and this bothered him that everyone knew he was gay and pointed fingers at him.
He had to stand on stages knowing thousands of straight people could be talking about him being gay. This must have made him very self conscious .

what an intelligent and reasonable person George was... such a loss to culture

all these topics covered for a public who hadn't seen him in so many years it's amazing. conversion therapy, coming out, open relationships, war, gay rights, what a brilliant mind <3

Really don't understand the disrespectful and intrusive fascination with George's personal life. His music is so emotionally honest; his sexuality and his relationships were between him and his partner. He was such an advocate for HIV/Aids which was huge gift for so many.

I love him so much, the only thing I would argue is that straight man would love chase and straight woman would not like to. The truth is non of them want the other to chase ;)

Interesting how 20 years can shift society's thinking and behavior so greatly.

His comments about America supposedly being the land of the free - for ALL of us - not just for straight white males, is as applicable today as it was nearly 2 decades ago. Not sure that we should be willing to allow freedom only for the s/w/males, vice EVERYONE, go unchecked for another 2 decades, IMHO. Gosh, GM left us way too soon 😞

Man he was quick witted, really enjoyable to watch him speak.

All these years later, it still hasn’t sunk in to me that our beloved GM isn’t here in person. He had so much love and empathy for his fellow man and I mean that with all sincerity and respect and his loss is almost unreal to digest. His gift of song will continue to touch the hearts and souls of millions around the world for generations to come.

His father told him he couldn’t sing, then was shocked when he attended his concert! 😳He realizes now…that he was mistaken. George’s sister Melanie also died on Christmas Day 3 years after George died.
